Easy to Setup and Use
The unit works well and was very easy to set up minus a little issue I ran into with my provider that was easily cleared up. The app was easy to download and use. The connection is decent but that's not the router's issue, just live in a rural area and don't have very many options for ISPs. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend this seller and their refurbished electronics

Does the job, but the setup is horrible
There's no manual for the setup, and there are steps along the way that are not intuitive at all. Starting with the website, the only option is to download the Samsung app to your phone, which took three tries and a half a day to finally appear. The router does allow a minimal internet connection with the pink light on, but there doesn't appear to be any way to move on from that page and set it up online. So, I finally had to call support, and thankfully I connected to a very knowledgeable lady in Malaysia or somewhere, who informed me you have to click on the picture of the smart phones, that moves you on. Like, that was obvious?? A link didn't even appear until you click on them. Beyond that point she had to help me navigate three or so steps that I never would have figured out, one of which required me to get out a magnifying glass to read codes off the bottom of the device. Why on earth is that necessary? Why aren't all the codes and passwords you need in bold print in some kind of paper instructions in the packaging? It's like corporate wanted this to be as difficult as they could possibly make it to setup online.Anyway, thanks to a women on the other side of the world, I did get it working, and it was easy to stop the wifi function. I do not want to broadcast, I'm a hard wired guy. And the router does its job in that function, my internet speeds out of the router are only slightly lower than when the PC was connected directly to the modem, no biggie. But dang, someone in the headquarters needs to be given one of these things and asked to set it up on their own. Then maybe they'll realize a little more help in the packaging might be necessary.

False advertising
TLDR: Old router is half the spec of the new one. Old router works better.I bought this router because it claims 3000 square feet of coverage. It was going to replace a Linksys EA7300 (advertised as 1500 sq ft coverage) which was many years old and had started dropping wifi intermittently and needed to be restarted about twice a week. Immediately I noticed that I could not get wifi in the garage. I'm no tech genius so I got in touch with Linksys tech support and we opened up all the advanced settings, made sure the router was offering 2.4 and 5 ghz bands separately, I downloaded an app that could read actual signal strength in decibels, we went through every channel individually, and the best results I was able to get with the help of tech support was signal strength that was only 1 to 5 db WORSE than the old router. We tested both routers back to back with my phone in a specific spot in the garage and me standing in a specific spot next to it. I'm sorry, but a product that claims double the capability of the obsolete product shouldn't be worse. That's called lying. I'm not returning it because I used the new router's power brick for all this testing and it seems to have fixed the reliability issue the old router was having and I can have the new one as an almost as good temporary replacement in case the old router gets struck by lightning or something. To those who might say I misunderstood the advertising claims and the 3k sqft coverage is only available with the mesh nodes, "then why is it available for purchase without them?" The answer is "bait and switch." Unfortunately this has become standard practice lately and I'm not here for it.

Got refurb'ed, it works, didn't cost a lot, and strong signal 3/5
Found this searching for an update to my old Apple Airport routers. Ordered it, got it in one day, took a long time to understand and set up and to get to where I wanted it to be.There's no real instruction booklet, at least with the refurb, and I don't know how but they keep making these things with such clunky interfaces it's really annoying.I'm not sure the bluetooth setup from the phone app and having to create a Linksys account, which by the way can monitor your network and who knows what else? Why does Linksys pretend to care so much about security with so many passwords, and such a restrictive rules for what you can use. That should be up to the use to decide if they want to have a simple or complex password. And, there are a lot of options and systems that are complicated and have no help screens or explanations. So, while it works and was inexpensive, I don't really know what it is I have here in terms or security or safety. I will say that it can transmit through my plaster and lath walls very well where my old routers did not.So, the good and the bad, for me, are kind of a wash, and I would rate this 3/5, and in my mind a bit lower for the sheer inconsiderateness of this product for the end user. It was a cheap improvement in my life so I appreciate that, but I am sure I missed some things in the complicated setup.
