Lanacane Anti-Friction Gel, Soothing & Hypoallergenic Skin Moisturizer for All Skin Types, 1 oz.

Unconventionally, I use this a facial primer prior to applying my makeup. I had read that this had a similar effect to DHC's velvet skin coat primer for half the price, so of course I was intrigued and scooped it right off Amazon! To my pleasure, this keeps my face matte throughout the day, is silky smooth upon application, unscented, DOES NOT make me break out, and is comparable to other "high-end" primers. I would argue that the DHC just feels a bit more silkier/cosmetically elegant, but the effects were quite similar. I have tried primers from Smashbox, Urban Decay, and ELF. This product still preserves my makeup the same, although I still have to blot 2 times a day like with all primers except my Hourglass primer. I will be using this on a daily basis while saving my Hourglass primer for special occasions. This unconventional product turned out to be wonderfully useful for my beauty needs!

I’ve used a pee size amount on my face under makeup for years. I love it. It’s like a primer. It helps for wrinkles and just gives your face a smooth feel.

The price is high, but it works for friction.

I wore this on my wedding day and I am so grateful I did! My dress' top had a lot of sequins and every time I put it on for alterations, I would be bright red on my arms after 10 minutes. I was terrified to wear it for a full day. I used Lanacane and there was barely any mark. I know how well this product worked because I missed a single spot on both sides of my gown which welted, swelled and was bright red for a week. I am SO happy I used Lanacane or my entire torso would have been like that! This product is also fantastic for leg chafing. You don't need much, one ounce will last a while. This is definitely a product I will keep permanently in stock in my home!

Normally, to wear a dress in the summer without pantyhose means needing to wear biker shorts under my dress because if I just wear a dress without hose or long shorts, my thighs get chafed really badly but thanks to Lanacane, I can wear dresses without worrying that my thighs will chafe. I love it!
