Does this lighten your hair if you don't have blonde hair?

I don't believe it will lighten hair. It's purple in color & is designed to tone blonde hair.

I use this as a deep conditioner. I use the spray daily. I condition my hair and then put the spray on at the end of the shower. This one is heavier and I do a deep condiction once a week.

Does this help get rid of brassy/yellow tones?

No.....if you have brassy/yellow tones you need to have a toner....this fabulous conditioner and smells heavenly!!! I love it, but I don't have unreal expectations.
