will the black stainless steel scratch easier than regular stainless?

Yes, the paint is chipping on mine. It’s a shame because aside from the paint chipping, it’s a great press. I have tried reviewing this item and my reviews haven’t been approved. I would not purchase the black painted one go for the stainless.

Not certain, but this looks pretty much like an exact copy of the Secura French press which is supposedly made in China. Seems to me that this press likely is made in china and re-branded by different companies.
