AD photo is not the actual product.
The photo in this post shows a aluminum lower cup. The actual product has a stamped steel lower cup, plastic crown race, and plastic top cap. I have attached a photo of the actual product.There is no seal on the lower crown race like found on the 40 series and above. Dirt/water will enter the lower bearing easily and the headset will feel terrible after one ride. This was after use on a mountain bike though. A less demanding application such as a rod bike may yield better results.

Perfect replacement for Giant Suede-e (eSuede) electric bike
I am making a custom bike for my wife from a Giant eSuede frame which was originally equipped with a quill (threaded) stem. Great product and economical!
Great product! Fits perfectly with the Nashbar Alloy Road Frame. The quality you expect from Cane Creek products. Would have preferred a metal crown race, but the plastic is working just fine!
