BIG RED T90803B Torin Hydraulic Welded Bottle Jack, 8 Ton (16,000 Lb) Capacity, Red

Received the product in a timely manner which was great. When I opened the package, I used gloves and some paper towel to wipe down the product due to others reporting that red paint got all over their hands. And yes, there was red paint residue off the product.I tested it out as soon as I got it, and it worked very smoothly lifting up my 2017 Ford Escape. The release went smooth as well. However, my 1-star comes after my experience this past weekend. I used the jack to lift my girlfriends 2006 Honda CRV as I needed to replace an O2 sensor underneath. After the job was done, I released it slowly and the valve for the oil reservoir, I guess, dislodged. Oil squirted out everywhere and the valve is broken.The last day to return the product had just passed during the week too; very unfortunate.

Product arrived as expected, no leaks or running paint. I attempted to lift a concrete wall estimated to weigh around 30,000 lbs without success because the jack was driving the 12"x18"x1" steel support plate into the ground instead. It may or may not be able to lift this much, I cannot say, but my hunch is that it's questionable. I would like to know what force on the extension handle the 100,000 lbs lift is based on? I was reluctant to put more that about 60 lbs of force on it for fear of either bending the handle or busting an input seal. This information shuld be provided.

J'en ai acheté 3 pour pouvoir remettre à niveau mon cabanon de 12 x 20 qui penchait d'un côté. Sur les trois crics, deux fonctionnent parfaitement mail le troisième est arrivé avec plein de fuites d'huile dans la boîte et plein de spots de peinture écaillée. J'en déduis qu'il n'était pas neuf. Pour l'essayer j'ai réussi à le faire monter, mais n'a jamais voulu redescendre! Je le retourne pour remboursement et comme j'en ai besoin rapidement, j'en ai acheté un autre à la quincaillerie locale.

I like the compact size. It is a solid unit. I bought two of these and they both needed to be bled and reset and they do not maintain the pressure even after all that. They slowly, ever so so slowly leak out, meaning the level on the structure must be checked every single day. They are good for short term use, to set up the blocking on a travel trailer, but not for daily use, as they lose pressure incrementally every day.

Picked Big Red as I've had a great experience with n the past with their products but this was defective out of the box. Lifted the car easy enough but would not come all the way down when the valve was released. Car was stuck and I had to use a second jack to get this one out. Even if it worked, not sure how safe these bottle jacks are given how small the base is. You do get plenty of hight though.
