How hard is it to remove plastic jacket.

Not hard at all.!! It has a very soft casing around it, and works really well.

Would this last if used for marine applications?

It would assuming you’re connections are waterproofed. Salt water will erode the casing over time though of course.

Simple. What I needed.

I got this wire to run a bass amplifier for a transducer/butt-kicker. It's simple speaker cable. Nothing fancy, some good thick gauge with flexible covering. Easy enough to strip off the end where needed, and providing me good clean sound through the attached device. Nothing more to say. Simple and good, priced just right.

This is the absolute best speaker wire I have ever purchased. It was really inexpensive and it didn’t come with a spool, but it was super flexible and easy to strip. Lots of copper as well. I will purchase again.
