Yagi works good
Hard to mount lmr400 to the connector with mounting bracket wish it had another set of holes on the backside to mount pole it would have been easier but antenna is good . talking 62 miles to repeater in front and 38 miles to the side with a 20 watt Anytone 779 would buy again o it’s 47 feet in the air out talks a tram 1486.

Just buy the Yagi, you needed one anyways.
Used this to hit a repeater 10 miles away from ground level indoors through a closed window at an upward angle. Works flawlessly with good signal reports. I can only imagine if it were outdoors at a higher level with an antenna rotator. It was very easy to put together and assemble. My goal was to use this as an indoor antenna only. One thing that I did notice is that if you were to put it outside you would definitely need to weather proof it some more. Use your imagination. Other than that I am super pleased with it. I have bought an assortment of gear from this company and have never ever been disappointed. Thank you so much!

Great Yagi
This is a great Yagi, power handling and frequency range are perfict for many ham radio projects such as links or base to repeater applications. The only week point that I see, is the small screws to hold the elements to the boom. If you have rivets available, I would use them insted of the small screws. Other than that, it's a great product for home use!

Excellent Build- Excellent tuning
I bought this antenna to use as a Vertical to use with a 433mhz Gate Opener. I needed to boost the 433 signal that was limited to 800 feet Line of Sight under power lines. Metal in close proximity (such as a metal mast does affect the tuning To tune there is an adjustible block that induces signal onto the radiator . If you mount the block at the end of the shrink tubing it will be near 433mhz and be quite low to 425mhz. the best way to fine tune is in-situ mounted on a 1.5 inch PVC Mast at the height you'd like to use. then use a tuner to adjust the tuning block. I suggest building the antenna on you kitchen table. This antenna has 2 tiny set screws and 3 Phillips screws to secure the aluminum Reflector, Director and Radiator Elements to the Square frame. Make sure the Screws are tight keeping the Radials tight. There should be no movement of any parts of this antenna. The instructions are good. It has a potential Gain of 9 decibels. a 3 decibel gain doubles the signal size. The Vertical Beam With is 45 degrees which is excellent - Not too narrow. If tuning is critical you will accomplish 1.4 SWR but you will need to tune IN-SITU with the cable employed for you use. 50 ohm cable is best. RG-6 will work but the SWR may be higher. Point the Antenna in the transmitter direction and secure to mast before testing. The use of a Comet or other antenna analyzer 433mhz capable meter is suggested for the most accuracy. If the gain is not enough , consider the 11DB Gain version of this antenna. This antenna will Transmit and Receive with most Remote 433mhz Remote Control, 70cm Ham Radio, GRMS and Weather Radio. Receivers 400-470mhz See specs for details.

Listen in on UHF satellite signals
I purchased the UHF 400-470Mhz single band version. I am working towards getting my technicians license and have been listening to local repeaters with a Baofeng and a Nagoya NA-771 antenna. Then I found out how to listen to a repeater on the ISS. With the Nagoya I could get a signal for 2 of the 10 minutes when the ISS was directly over head. With the directional UHF Yagi Im able to get a signal for most of the 10 minutes on a low pass that hugs the horizon. Just wave it around in the general section of the sky you expect the satellite, with the desired frequency (may want to adjust accordingly for doppler during the pass) and I got an incredibly good signal. I paired it with a 3foot UHF male to BNC male piece of coax, a BNC female to SMA female adapter for the Baofeng for quick disconnects and some bicycle handle bar tape. Pretty slick little piece of kit for so cheap! Not perfect though; it’s priced low because it’s made cheaply. It’s all aluminum tubing and once assembled is sturdy enough, but the metal is too thin to repeatedly unscrew, breakdown, then reassemble. It wouldn’t last too many cycles of that. Also be careful witg the set screws on the slide block when tuning the antenna, I stripped one of them.

Doesn't secure properly right out of the box
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Right out of the box this antenna has evidence of previous assembly, specifically scratches on the aluminum from screws being installed. While assembling it, a good amount of screws would not tighten properly, leaving connections at the beams loose which is unacceptable. Its apparent this seller sold me a used item that probably had been returned due to screws probably being over tightened during assembly. In the instructions it specifically states to refrain from re-assembly due to this exact problem, which was an issue right out of the box, due to them selling me an antenna that has obvious evidence of previous assembly. The return process is a pain, why would i go through more time & trouble than its worth, when they will probably just resell this antenna again.I am going to have to do the labor to fix these attachment points which isn't a huge deal, but at this price is unacceptable to have to go through. should have a more sturdy assembly process instead of pre drilled holes and self tapping screw to secure this thing together. id give negative 5 stars if possible.
