Hitec RCD Hitec HS-5625MG Digital High Speed Metal Gear Servo

Got it quick (faster than the timeframe Amazon gave) and I am far away in the ocean on the other side if the country! Thank you!I have never had. Hitec servo fail on me. Their one of my top 2 servo brands for my larger planes and turbine jets.

I bought this to upgrade the one in my Rustler and it came in perfect working condition. It is more powerful then the stock one which helps it turn faster and keeps it steadier.

Fast enough and strong enough for my sons backyard basher, but I'd use something better on a track racer.

Hitec is a good brand, however, neither one of these servos would work with my DMSM 2.4 GHz radio system, I'm sure it's something to do with the system itself and not the servos.

My go to servo of choice. Works fast and reliable

SLOW!!!! This thing does not do rated speed. It's not even rated all that fast, but it gets smashed by other (cheaper) servos with similar specs. Here is a great example:HS-5625MG @ 6V = 0.14 sec/130.5 oz/inMKS DS1210 @ 6V = 0.12sec/138 oz/inWhile on paper these 2 should be neck and neck, in person the Hitec gets EMBARRASSED. It's slow. Really, really slow. Hopefully the Hitec at least stands up to some abuse. I have flogged the MKS listed above and it is still way way WAY faster than this crummy Hitec!UPDATE: I have taken this to 2 separate race meets. It's average at best. It has held up OK, but the performance is just barely acceptable. On switchback sections I am definitely wanting more transit speed. It seems to have enough torque for the sweepers and other sections, but overall I can't recommend this servo for racing. I am going to go another route soon. Likely with the MKS servo listed above. Unfortunately they are on backorder.

I will never again buy a Hitec servo. It worked for less then 5 mins and wouldn't return to center. Let's say I steered right and then released the servo input, the servo would return to center and then continue to travel to the full left position and vise versa. I'm a veryexperienced RC hobbyist (electric,nitro,air and ground). I purchased the servo back in February and finally got around to my setup. Sadly it arrived DOA but it's too late to send back....sorry but that ended Hitec servos for me. Word of advice test the servo as soon as it arrives to make sure it's working properly. Since Amazon won't refund me going to contact Hitec and see if they will.
