quiet and efficient - perfect for my boat and motorhome.

We've been using this compact ceramic heater for a couple months now. It has an automatic shut-off feature so it automatically turns off if it gets knocked over.My hubby has been using it to heat his 12' x 12' man cave & carries it to our basement rec room when he works out. It is lightweight, has a small footprint & heats each area.The heater has 2 heat settings with fan only setting, safety overheat protection, and adjustable thermostat for comfort control.It's working great for him so far. I'll update my review if my opinion changes.

I've had this heater for a little over a year (purchased from department store). Last night before I went to bed, I plugged the heater in and went to check on my daughter when I heard a couple crackling sounds. I thought the crackling might have come from somewhere else so I stood back and observed. The sounds seemed to come from the top side of the board inside the unit and then smoke started billowing out, faster and faster. I tipped the unit backwards to see if it would click off like usual and it did. My concern is that it would have went up flames and if I was sleeping and did not ensure smoke detector was working it would have been too late. It took hours to air the horrible smell out of the house. I will not purchase this brand again. Please check your smoke detectors!
