After much looking, this is definitely the best pick there is!
I'm very happy with my new pick and hope to have many years of rockhounding with it! Geologist's hammer/pick
This is a well made tool, well balanced and just the right weight. It has a beautiful leather handle that feelscomfortable in the hand. I have had two of its companion tools from Estwing, a claw hammer and a small hand axe for many years and they will never wear out!
