Great Bug Tent for Camping Trips
Purchased this tent for my 11 year old son to use on Boy Scout camping trip. He just returned from camp and said that it worked great - no bug bites on him even after 1 week. He said that other kids who didn't have a similar tent had bites on them from overnight. As noted, you do need to practice setting up (have plenty of room around you, this is not small) and folding up the tent before you go. My 11 year old practiced in the house before the trip and did ok but you do need certain arm length to be able to properly fold it so I would say that is probably not for a younger child who won't have another person available to help fold it up. My son asked his buddy at camp to help him fold it up and it was easy with two people. Once you get the hang of it it's an easy set up and take down. Definitely worth the money and it's big.

Great pop-up tent for gound and cot. Excellent for military field operations.
Purchased this tent for use at a 30 day training exercise in Death Valley, CA. The best aspect is the quickness of set-up and tear down. Set up is fool-proof as you simply remove the cinch strap and toss it in the air. Packing up is simple with both the three and four fold methods. I highly recommend watching the online videos for folding it up prior to setting it up the first time. Additionally, when ordering pay attention to which floor you are purchasing. This review if for the poly floor. It is made from the same nylon material as the roof and repacking is silent which is important when trying to be considerate if others are sleeping nearby. The tarp floor is the standard plastic material found on a regular cross-hatch tarp. It will provide better moisture resistance and durability for rocky terrain on the floor of the tent than the poly option but is much louder when packing away. I am 6 feet tall and still found this tent to be very comfortable and fitting. This pop tent is wider that the standard military cot which is a benefit because it allows you to store items safely without rolling over on them while sleeping. Lastly, I would highly recommend this tent for hot weather outings and the mesh allows the breeze to blow through.

Your bug-free refuge when camping
I've purchased three of these, one for me and one for each of my two Boy Scout sons. They're great for keeping your sleeping space bug-free when camping so you can rest easy after a long day at camp without wondering what's going to be crawling around and biting you in your sleeping bag. They're spacious enough for an average size adult to stretch out in and allow unrestricted airflow. They've held up well so far after a decent amount of use. Folding them up to store in the bag is a little tricky, so keep the included instructions handy. Follow those and it'll work. It's lightweight, thin when folded and easy to carry, but it's not small for backpacking trips. Overall a solid item to invest in for camping in buggy environments.

Too big!
We absolutely love this! If you are using it for scout summer camp on a cot it is just a bit to big. It definitely hangs over the edges of a cot, but is workable. Also, make sure your child knows how to fold it out before going to camp.

10/10 highly recommend
Pros:-easy to set up and store-fits well onto a twin xl mattress and a cot-good interior height. I can sit upright in this comfortably though I'm only 5'3"...-keeps bugs out!!-breathable netting-feels very durableCons:-poly bottom is still a little noisy but it's pretty minor in my opinion-only one side of the tent zips open/closed-because it's a pop up tent, when I pull the zipper to open or close the tent, the top pulls down sometimesOther things to note:-I watched the videos on how to fold the tent before buying it and once again when I received it. Though the instructions aren't intuitive, I found that the tent was pretty simple to fold after watching the videos several times.-Overall I really love this tent. I'm strongly considering buying another to have on hand for last-minute trips.

Ready to buy a third
Purchasing my third tonight. Got one for my older son when he went to Boy Scout camp. My younger son and I both went to Cub Scout camp two years ago, he got the SansBug, I struggled around with a hanging net over the bed. Next year we bought a second for me with the nylon floor (our first had the tarp floor). This year my son became a Den Chief, so all 3 of us will be at Cub Scout Camp for a week, so will be purchasing a third. Read the reviews on others, and decided to stick with what I known and can trust. The positives. Crazy easy to set up. Literally throw it in the air, and it comes down set up. We don't require these for our Cub Scouts, but I believe all of our cubs had them this year. Mothers (or fathers) can stick around to help set up the kids tents, and once the parents saw those going up, hanging a bug net over a cot with zip ties was painful. Made setting up camp really fast and easy. When we move for our "pack out" night (where we sleep in a different location) just pick up the two ends, leave the sleeping bag inside, and walk it to the new spot. Set it down and it is set up for the night. Those few kids that didn't were struggling (with adult help) to get their bug nets strung up in the new location. These are also very durable. 7-11 year old kids are not very gentle on equipment, I have not seen a broken zipper, ripped net, or any problems. When we did break camp at the end of the week, the adults did help the kids fold these up (it is tricky first 2-3 times), but held up extremely well. The negatives, not enough to even take away a star. They are larger then a cot at Cub Scout camp. This made me a little nervous first night. If I roll, I will still be in this thing, but will roll right off of the cot. They are also just a few inches too tall to fit in a standard boy Scout issue two person platform tent on top of a cot. They fit, but work better if you slide the cot in toward the center of the tent, still touches the top of the tent and kind of squishes down a bit. To solve this, after the first night, I took out the cot and put this onto the tent floor (with a canvas tarp under and a moving quilt inside of it, it was hard but no worse than a canvas cot and no worry about rolling off.I also wish the poles were a tiny bit stronger. It was really hot when I was at camp, so I brought a hanging camping fan (Coleman, I think). Has 4 D size batteries, so it is heavy. There was a hook above my head when I could clip the fan, have it blow on my face all night long (and drown out the sound of mosquitoes trying to get inside the net). The fan was just heavy enough to pull the poles down to within 3-4 inches of my face. Fan still felt great, but after that night I did rig a rope up to the top of the tent to hold that up higher. But these negatives are minor. Certainly a wonderful product, fully deserving of 5 stars. Will buy a third tonight, don't see my wife joining us at Cub Scout camp in the next few years, so this should do it.
