Not a youth bow but a fantastic buy!
I'm honestly not sure why this is marketed as a youth bow, I would say anyone other than a large teenager that uses adult sized objects would have issues shooting this. It's basically Bear's version of a Samick Sage. Mine just arrived and I've slung about 50 or so arrows out of it the first night and it feels great! This is my first recurve bow but I've shot the ones on the wall at Cabelas and a local archery shop and this is the best feeling one by no small margin.I'm a tall guy, 6'3 and have a 31" draw and have no problem pulling this back to full draw and aiming. I was skeptical given the amount of people telling me I can't use a bow this small and that I need something at least 68-70". But I can say undoubtedly that I can shoot this bow and am not having problems related to its size. I've shot a 68", 66", 64", 62" and 58" while shopping around and the longer bows ended up feeling awkward and a little unwieldy for me.All that being said if you're looking for a recurve and your goal is not olympic style target shooting then I strongly suggest the Bear Wolverine.

Power Power Power
The Bear Archery Wolverine Recurve Bow arrived in a box that was slightly smaller than I was expecting but I was delighted upon receiving it. After tearing through the box and a quick assembly the Wolverine was ready for action. As soon as I drew back I felt like a combination of Robin Hood and Hawkeye. After knocking a few arrows and getting used to the bow, I started to notice the power the bow was delivering. The only way I can describe the amount of power of every arrow was the equivalent of Mike Tyson first round punch in his prime. Totally recommend and would 100% buy again.

Look at the outside of the package.
Don’t be an idiot like me and put the limbs on backwards. The instructions are on the outside of the package, there is no book. I spent two days trying to figure out how my 58” string was supposed to fit on my 52 inch bow that was sold to me as a 62 inch bow until I saw the outside of the box.

Good for a first bow
It was my first bow, a good by for 120 bucks.Within 20 yard, it clusters well. Beyond 40 yard - not so stable. 40 lbs is not light- typical for an average adult male.At set up string to throat of 8 inch (manual reference 7.5-8.25) the amo length were merely 59.5 inch, not adversed 62. This implies if you have a >28 draw, it would be less smooth. If there were one thing can be improved - it’s the string. The string continue stretch and settles after 4 shooting sessions with 200+ arrow fired. $10 extra could be a lot better experience. It looks a bear version of samick sage.
