Build quality was a superior compared to the JETech case I also tried. I'd keep this one over that one for sure, but ultimately returned both due to learning what a lint magnet silicone can be. Not a good solution for this guy who leaves his phone in his pocket all the time. All the cases I tried that also protected the charging port section of the phone obstructed that area, making some charging stands incompatible (Belkin Sync Dock tested), though standard charging cables and wireless charging where fine. I could live with not using a standing wired charger, as I usually use a cable or my wireless bedside charger, but the lint thing was a deal breaker. Back to the Apple Leather Case for now…

This case protected my phone on many occasions. But one incident, in particular, stands out. I was using my phone as a flashlight to look under the hood of my car and when I went to close the hood, I guess I left my phone sitting underneath it. Then I went for a short drive and unbeknownst to me my phone, that had been sitting under the hood on the battery, fell out and landed in the street. Thanks to "find my phone," I located it up the street from my house and there it was in the gutter. How it got that close to the curb, I don't know, but I was sure the screen would be busted and likely the back as my iPhone is glass on the back. I was amazed when I picked it up off the asphalt and the screen was perfectly fine. The poor case was a goner (the corners were shredded from landing on rough asphalt) but it protected my phone. I still have that same phone and it works perfectly to this day. If that doesn't speak for durability, I don't know what will!
