Brilliant quality, takes time to adjust to, 140WPM certified I guess
It is a brilliant quality keyboard, the touchpad is even bigger than the Surface Pro keyboard's touchpad. The only aspect and annoyance that you may find yourself facing are going to the compact size of the keyboard. It is a proper keyboard, with alt, control, windows keys, arrow keys. However, it is condensed into such a small form factor. I find my hands needed to adjust when using the keyboard, however over time you get used to it, and then going back to a larger keyboard feels weird. The quality overall is very premium. Alcantara is so nice, however more prone to getting sweat stains on it than the traditional black cover. All in all, very pleased with the product, however with big hands it may feel very uncomfortable. I was able to type around140WPM with it, the distance between the keys helps since you do not have to travel far from the home row. Then again I can type 160WPM with a bigger keyboard.

It's Italian, and it is impossible to tell anyone
I'm writing this review using the keyboard, so it isn't a total disaster. I bought a 'very good used' version from Amazon Warehouse. I am confident that it is a genuine Microsoft product. The item itself, including the keys and the touch pad, looks brand new. The box just had a couple of marks on it, which is no big deal. The case, in terms of look and feel, and functionality, is really very good.My gripe is that it is an Italian keyboard layout. Nothing on the box says this. The box does say "sourced from Italy", but I think that's meant to be a reference to the alcantara, not the keys!Having used it for a day I realised it wasn't quite right. The only way I worked out it was Italian was to find a website that had photographs of every keyboard region of the world and work my way through until I found a match. Once I'd done that, I loaded the Italian keyboard option into Windows 10, and now it works like a dream. Windows has a little icon next to the time and date so you can click to switch between various keyboards. So if have the Surface on a docking station with a UK keyboard, I just quickly switch over. I'm no Mavis Beacon and can't type without looking at the keyboard, so it doesn't bother me.Trying to get some help to work out the problem was impossible. Microsoft's website and help was useless, and I could find no way on the Amazon site to contact anyone. I was close to just returning it.Overall, I paid £70 for the item, which is £50 less than a new one (or £55 if purchased direct from Microsoft). If at the point of sale it had said "Italian keyboard layout", I probably still would have bought it to save the £50. I'm just a bit annoyed it wasn't described properly, and it wasn't possible to do anything via the Amazon website, other than opt to return it.

Love the keyboard - not so keen on the price!
I love the keyboard and of course had to have one as I use my Surface Go like a laptop, not tablet. It's brilliantly designed, everything about it is a joy to use considering what a slim, lightweight clever little thing it is....HOWEVER, I do believe it should be about 1/2 the price, say around £50 or something, not £104 (I have the gray one which is currently more expensive than the black one but does look nicer and is - I think anyhow - less strain on your eyes when using it).Yes, its a wonderful design, yes you really need one if you want to do typing or anything more serious/professional on your Surface Go. BUT considering what it actually consists of in terms of components, materials and construction (and where it is probably made and assembled at a much lower unit labour costs) it is overprice by about 100%.IF the Surface Go itself was priced on the same basis it would probably come to about £1,000 or more!So only 3 stars instead of 5 if it had been available at a fair/sensible price.

Grey not Ice Blue
I ordered the ice blue keyboard and ice blue arc mouse. The keyboard is grey and does not match the colour of the arc mouse which is definitely a light blue. The description on the keyboard box says the alacantra is a two tone gray. I inputted the serial number on the sticker on the keyboard packing to google and it came up as ice blue. So either I have a grey keyboard in the wrong box or the ice blue is simply marketing junk I fell for. Still a lovely little keyboard. But beware it is not blue just grey

No UK layout version available
I've had this product for a year now, which is plenty time to get used to it and understand it's features. On the whole it's ok, but it has a major flaw. There is no version of this product available for the UK. Every keyboard layout is in American format, so there are some keys that you constantly have to work around (for example the " symbol is located where @ is shown and vice versa). That's kind of workable if you know, and once you've worked out where things are, but other things are missing completely, such as the backslash, which I can't type as a symbol here for this exact reason. I don't have it.......Most of this is workable once you know the in's and out's, but it's a royal pain in the backside. And where things are missing, I don't see this as workable at all. Furthermore, I felt the price was a rip off in the first place. My mind isn't changed on that, even if the keyboard layout was fine. But to pay this ridiculous price and it not be suitable for the UK is beyond beggars belief. Complete waste of money and not a product that is fit for sale in the UK.
