Oninaki (PS4)

It has a nice enough graphical style and most of the levels don't overstay their welcome. But it doesn't have battle music 90% of the time, it has mild Japanese voice acting that doesn't align with what is said, and the emotional impact of most moments is lost by the predictability and lack of general bonding moments and lead up. And though the Daemons have backstories, this doesn't play into the main story at all - outside of two references in story, they are never mentioned again. I feel it could have done a lot more with what it had to tell a more emotionally impactful story and explored more of the world building and characters it had, it just didn't.
