Q: will this work in epson wf-2540?

Hello, Since this is Epson paper, I would think that it should work on any Epson printer. I looked this printer up on the Epson website and saw that it is a general, all-purpose machine that does everything (and which got mixed reviews). Given that it uses a 4-color drop-on-demand MicroPiezo inkjet technology, I don't see why this paper would not work with this printer (since the paper does very well with the MicroPiezo technology, although I would wonder that with just 4 colors, whether the photographic quality would be as high as that of a printer that has 6 ink colors. I would suggest that you call Epson and ask them about this. One other thing, Epson ultra premium photo paper glossy is listed under the list of paper types for the wf-2540. Your best best is just to try it. One last thing I want to point out, (and this is strictly my opinion as someone who tries to save money!), this paper is very high quality and you only need it for really special prints that you are thinking about matting and framing. For everyday needs, you could use a less costly paper.

Aloha, Beats me! Maybe so it won't scratch the glossy surface of the photo paper...? Anyway, just don't accidentally print a photo on it, or on that other piece of white paper that is not photo paper. There will be messy ink almost running off of the papers as they come out of the printer!!! jon

No, you can only print on one side of this particular paper.You might want to try Epson Presentation Paper Matte. It is for everyday projects, but check on the description to see if you can print on both sides.
