Q: Will this work well for cutting a deer's pelvic bone?

Yes absolutely it would. I've field dressed many deer with this zip saw and it works great on the ribcage as well as the pelvis. Hope this helps.

Q: Is the color of the handle black? Like the shown picture?

I know for sure that it comes in both black and blaze orange colors. The one I bought was black. Make sure you check what color your ordering so that your not disappointed once it arrives.

I dont believe this has a replacement blade. Mine is one unit.
