Maybe the most practical knife on the market
I bought a basic opinel ages ago in Estes Park, like forty years ago. I still have it, though the blade is getting worn down. So I bought the gardening model, then the filet model, and then God help me I bought two of the small sized models....and then the paring knives. I am addicted. I love the archetype design and construction; the blades are a perfect balance of length and thickness.....I could so join an Opinel Cult.

Love the design
I like that it is still made with the same basic design as 150 years ago. Modern knives open easier and quicker, but got to love the originals.

Great little knife for your watch pocket.
This is the smallest knife in Opinel's line up. It has a blade that is a hair over an inch, and overall length under 3 inches, and a weight under an ounce. He knife is tiny, but it is still very well made for the price point. Like all Opinels, the grow larger and smaller in proportions. The No 2 is exactly like my No 7 except it lacks the locking collar and is smaller. The stamps are still crisply applied including the hand and crown logo. The blade did not come sharp. As you might imagine getting a blade this size sharp did not take long. The blade hardness is on par with the larger stainless models.Ergonomics are great for such a minuscule knife. The flair at the end of the wood handle rides between my middle and ring finger. This locks the knife into my hand with a two finger grip. My thumb lies naturally on the spine. Very comfortable given its size.Overall a great knife to slide into your watch pocket. It may not get a ton of use, but for $8 you can appreciate the design and novelty of it. Would recommend.

We it IS an Opinel
No idea why they made this. It is tiny and likely opening paper packages is the only use.Should have gotten a #6 or larger.
