A MUSICAL TRIP TO OTHER TINES AND PLACES
Very nice but some of it obscure Not as good as Phase 4's "IN A MONASTERY GARDEN which I also bought here at amazon his music is very lovely and often transports you to other lands and times

You may not know his name but you will recognize his music--and love it.
One of my most favorite melodies has always been Jungle Drums. Great rendition and I was amazed at how many of his scores were familiar because they were used in so very many movies, even brought back memories of old cowboy movies--when you listen to this cd you will know what I'm saying.

Lovely.
This is charming CD of the "salon style" music. I love it. Easy to listen to. Cheery. I know that sounds lame, but it's just lovely and comfortable to have. I have other Palm Court Theatre Orchestra recordings and they're so nicely produced.

good memories
The Grand Passions of Albert W Ketelbey - his music is wonderful and lifts me up when feeling down.My piano teacher introduced me to "The Bells Across the Meadows", (I still have the copy she gave me all those years ago)and it became a great favourite of mine, always begining and ending practice sessions with it; my family lived and worked near Gillett & Johnson (clockmakers and bell ringing/repairing)who used to stop us working as we listened to their ringing of bells when they first came to them, and then when they had tuned/repaired them. Wonderful to live and work near them.Gone now - but a huge THANK YOU to them for the pleasure they gave us.This CD brought and brings back those memories.Bambi.

Not the best....
very dissapointed with this CD...the orchestra performance and the recording quality has no 'magic'....very flat sound and playing by numbers....totally uninspiring and just sounds like they were going through the motions in a down market studio.

but he knew what the public liked, and I remember those tunes from my childhood
A CD I have wanted to buy for a long time. There may be greater and deeper composers, but he knew what the public liked, and I remember those tunes from my childhood.

I love this music
One of his tunes was chosen for my Mother's funeral so I had to have it and more. Very efficient service

Very interesting!
This was my second contact with the music of Albert W. Kételbey. I liked it, and I am sure that the selection of the musical themes was quite good.
