Great for gaming.
I bought this a while back and so far, so great! I bought mainly because my laptops keyboard keeps “ghosting” (when the computer is registering that a button is being pushed when it’s not). This issue has caused a lot of lossed games for me and I decided to look into keyboards, I found steel series on ads on YouTube after my search engine found me looking at gaming equipment and boy am I glad it did! Steel series is a really company and really well made, they have great quality gaming equipment for a much cheaper price, the keyboard in question glows blue (RGB Lighting) and has no ghosting issues and is suprisingly very quiet for a mechanical keyboard. It’s also pretty comfortable even though it doesn’t have the slanted price of plastic underneath it, it has two little prongs on the top that stick out to elevate it. Now I don’t usually like corded keyboards but this comes with some great options, it has different paths for the cord to follow so you don’t have to deal with it coming right out the middle and end up tearing your hair off trying to fix the cord around your monitor or laptop, the cord can rest in the middle, right or left side because of the way they created it, that’s a plus in my eyes. All in all a really great gaming key board for half the price, definitely a must buy!

Great keyboard!
What a great keyboard! In general, I'm not a huge fan of mechanical keyboards. I'm a software developer and type quite a lot, and I've just grown very used to my mac laptop keyboard, which is very low profile and "squishy". But I bought this keyboard for gaming (obviously) on my Windows machine. I really don't like to type a lot on it, but it's amazing for gaming! Great tactile response and feel! Make a great "clunk" sound, that most people want when buying a keyboard like this. It'll be hard to go back to a squishy keyboard every for gaming. One thing to note. It's VERY bright! I haven't played with the settings, but I bet you can turn it down and/or off during inactivity, etc. I personally love the bright keyboard, as it lights up the room nicely in that corner when I'm shutting off the lights and going to bed. Luckily I don't sleep in that room though. If this was in your bedroom, you may not enjoy it being so bright. If this is a concern, make sure you check that the settings allow control of this.

Perfect
Wow this keyboard is amazing! Beautiful lighting and impressive quallity make this a great keayboard. The Steelseries Engine allows you to further customize the lighting effect but keep in mind this keyboard can only produce blue lighting. You cant change the color. But the price alone makes this a great buy considering the quality! If u think blue will match your setup then i recommend this keyboard 100%I'm very impressed and it goes great with my set up ^~^

Absolutely KILLER for the Price
For this price range this is by far the best keyboard I've used to date. I've owned this keyboard for the better part of a year and It has been my main driver since purchasing it. I have a collection of 7 different gaming keyboards. Ranging from Cherry MX Blues, to MX Browns, MX Reds, and now these switches. This keyboard is the ideal way for me to play video games. A near silent experience with lightning fast responses. It's just been working for me. I'd say without shadow of a doubt this keyboard is the best bang for your buck imaginable. Typing also very satisfying but does take time to get used to. Especially if you use tactile switches such as blues or browns. You will find yourself hitting characters you didn't intend to but that is solely because of the minuscule force required to type. Once you overcome that hurdle then you're good to go. The biggest complaint that I have about this keyboard is simply o do with the longevity of the keycaps. They will wear to a shiny coating overtime. Which is a massive letdown because the characters are easily legible and big. Which is great for blind Bettys like myself. But with a small investment they can easily be replaced and will do fine if you're okay with the wear and tear that is involved with them. One more complaint that I have is the keys which have functions to them are often difficult to make out. Such as the number row or the F keys. However if you turn the brightness on the backlight up it would be fine. I just prefer them dimmer than most.9/10 Highly recommended. Especially for gaming.

I needed a stable reliable keyboard more than RGB
Tired of paying for extras you don't need? After going through several name brand keyboards that proceeded to fall apart after medium use (major gamer use to others I suppose) I didn't want to pay so much extra from going from a medium model to the pro model, bundled with RGB and all kinds of features I don't necessarily need. Function over Form for me. So for less than half the price of the other two, I got a sturdy SteelSeries Apex M400, backlit in blue which is the color I would set it to anyways if it was RGB, mechanical keys, good base, nice feel, just what I needed. I am wearing the dark "finish" on some of the keys from my sometimes sharp fingernails, but it just gives those keys a little extra glow. Eventually I will wear through the top of the keys from my heavy duty daily 18 hours a day use, but that should be pretty far down the road. Not even sure *I* will last that long ;)

Great solid heavy keyboard
Great solid heavy keyboard, works and feels great to use. The blue lighting is nice not too flashy but looks cool.Don't share your beer with it, it doesn't handle drinking well. Fortunately I was able to buy another one and prime got it here in 2 days, because other keyboards just don't feel the same.

Awesome Gaming Keyboard
This is my 3rd Steelseries Keyboard. I bought one for work and another for my home use. It’s very well constructed and designed. I like the feel of the keys springing back to position after depressing it. I’m very satisfied with this product. My 3rd keyboard is for my new gaming system that is due to arrive sometime next month. Thank you for selling a great keyboard.

High quality keyboard
This is a fantastic mechanical keyboard for the price. On the surface the offering is presented as a 'no-frills' package; free of the typical assortment of additional macro keys and dedicated media controls. However the keyboard itself is very well made. The keys are extremely fast and precise, and without a distinctive 'bump' the actuation feels light without excessive noise. The manufacturer's software allows for complete reassignment of all keys.Very happy with this product!

Keys feel like reds but with a higher actuation force, exactly what I was looking for. The first keyboard I got sent had a non-functioning switch, but got it replaced and am loving it, performs as I expected a steelseries peripheral would

Steelseries m400
