Is working no due nothing special but you can connecting in the modern tvS the resolution is ni to bad you can play but you can take a big spectating

It used to work on green light for the n64 to connect to my HDTV but today it stopped working and doesn't work on any other channels when you press the button on the device to change settings (light changes) so will be returning it for either another one or a refund.

The item doesn’t work on my US NTSC Super Nintendo at all, works on my US N64 but turns off randomly and gives a striped coloured screen, resetting the console fixes it, but as it does this at the inevitable wrong moment, it is a bit annoying, can go a few hours and be fine, or do it repeatedly over a short space of time. Update: Updating to the latest firmware seems, at least in the short term, to have fixed the N64 issue, still doesn't work on the US SNES.

Great hdmi device to get your Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Super Nintendo back to relive those memories. I'm focusing on the Nintendo 64 because that's the reason I bought this product. This hdmi device makes you nintendo 64 look clean and vibrant with the the help of different modes that output from it. There's a little button that you can press to give you four option settings all represented by a coloured led light on the device. Green= NTSC S-video smoothing on, Red= NTSC S-video smoothing off, Blue= Composite Pal smoothing on, Yellow= Composite Pal smoothing off. Its your preference what's good for you, I prefer the Red option because I like the pixel look. All in all this device does a great job to play your Nintendo 64 on a modern TV and simple to connect and set up. Also on the device there's a micro port for future updates, ITS NOT A POWER INPUT so don't connect a USB to it its not needed to run this device. Updates will almost probably come from their official Web site so check regularly. Keep retro alive and enjoy the memories, happy gaming.

The N64 is renowned for being a tad tricky to get a decent output on, especially on a modern HD/4K TV set. After digging my old console out I really wanted to get all my games running again. For those who are NOT retro gaming nuts and are not bothered with getting the best results on video output and quality, you can't go wrong with this adapter. It's has several different output modes, I have left mine running on S-Video out with Smoothing on. I can actually now see and play these games properly again. Don't expect anything crystal clear. I like it's not perfect as it still gives you that retro feel playing on a retro console. Few things to mention... - Update the Firmware for the adapter before using. The control tool is available on Kaico's website and in the download file is the latest FW version. Super simple instructions to follow to complete this. (Also included in the downloaded file). The control app also allows you to adjust screen positioning, brightness, contrast, hue, chroma etc etc to suit your preferences. - Sometimes there is a small delay with the signal output from console to TV. Not a big issue so far but I'm unsure on occasions if this has stopped output all together. Hard to tell when you are dealing with 25+ year console and carts. A few restarts and removal of the cart and it kicks back in, so saying it's more console at the moment. The adapter is currently a lot cheaper from Kaico directly. I ordered from Amazon as I had other items to purchase but was £15 more expensive. If your are after it and not in a hurry, go direct to Kaico for now. Lastly, there is a much cheaper adapter from Kaico, looks exactly the same but in a blue box around the £20 mark. I tried this and it is purely a pass through. No image processing is done to help improve the image. It is awful for the N64, games are unplayable in my opinion, so recommend staying away from that if using on N64. Overall really pleased I can play some classics again. Real nostalgia feeling and I've been able to introduce something that was a big part of my life growing up to my two young children. (Using PAL console on Samsung 6 Series 4K TV).

On receiving the item in question and plugging it into my Super Nintendo, nothing. I had a rainbow of bars just like the tv old test cards from 20 plus years ago. After fiddling with it for 20 minutes or so and still nothing I decided to go online to see if there was an update for it, there was and after updating the software SUCCESS lol. Now I get to enjoy all my old retro consoles using modern connections. The lesson here is for the money you’re paying it should be plug n play, without fiddling with updates n such.. however it works now and it work’s perfect on modern 55” OLED TVs

Calidad absoluta, cambia por completo la imagen de tu n64 y se ve realmente bien y ahora parece remasterizado ( mejora colores, pixels , dientes de sierra y claridad y resolución) totalmente recomendado e imprescindible

Für alle mit wenig Zeit: Der Kaico HDMI-Adapter "Line-Doubler für Nintendo" liefert mit der aktuellsten Firmware (4.0) und den entsprechenden Einstellungen sehr gutes S-Video Bild an meinem 55 bzw. 77 Zoll OLED-TV mit dem Super Nintendo und dem N64. Dank Angebotspreis und zusätzlichem Rabatt durch den Kauf mehrerer Kaico Artikel hat der Adapter nur knapp 50 Euro gekostet. Dafür ist er auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert. --- Für alle, die die vollständige Rezension interessiert: Um den Retro-Konsolen von Nintendo auf modernen Flachbild-TVs ein gutes Bild zu entlocken, habe ich im Laufe der Jahre einige HDMI-Adapter ausprobiert. Das Grundproblem bei den alten Konsolen ist, dass die native Auflösung nur 240p beträgt, womit die meisten neuen TVs nicht richtig klar kommen. Daher wird normalerweise ein sogenannter Line-Doubler benötigt, der aus den 240p möglichst verlust- und verzögerungsfrei 480p macht. Angefangen hatte ich mit dem mittlerweile nicht mehr erhältlichen RetroTINK-2X MINI und dem Nintendo S-Video AV Kabel. Mit dem Adapter war das Bild (vor allem dank der zuschaltbaren Filter) schon recht gut. Das Bild zeigte jedoch ein leichtes Flimmern. Der Adapter benötigt eine USB Stromquelle. Sowohl den Kabelsalat als auch die helle Beleuchtung fand ich störend. Um die Bildqualität weiter zu verbessern, hätte ich das einfache Nintendo S-Video Kabel gegen ein hochwertiges S-Video AV für Nintendo PAL Konsolen austauschen können. Allerdings werden für solche Kabel 60 Euro und mehr veranschlagt, was ich dafür nicht ausgeben wollte. Daher bestellte ich vor einigen Wochen zum Test einen HDMI Converter für Super Nintendo (SNES) für rund 22 Euro und einen N64 zu HD TV Adapter für rund 11 Euro. Beide Adapter sollten das Bild auf 720p bzw. 1080p skalieren können und das AV Kabel zur Konsole ist bereits integriert. Allerdings flimmerte das Bild mit beiden Adaptern recht deutlich und die Linien waren unscharf. Vermutlich wird bei beiden Adaptern nur das Composite Signal (früher der gelbe Stecker) hochskaliert. Aus diesem Grund gingen beide zurück. Danach hatte ich mir aus England ein "Super Nintendo GameCube RAD2X RetroTink HDMI® cable" bestellt, welches am Super Nintendo ein sehr gutes Bild liefert, da hier einerseits das RGB Signal verwendet wird und zusätzlich noch Filter aktiviert werden können, um das Bild zu glätten. Das N64 liefert von Haus aus kein RGB Signal. Für das beste Ergebnis sollte das eigene N64 einen RGB-Mod haben. Der Preis inkl. Versand und Zoll lag jedoch bei rund 100 Euro und mittlerweile ist es wieder ausverkauft. Hinzu kamen noch die Kosten für einen Mini-HDMI zu HDMI Adapter. Durch ein entsprechendes Angebot wurde ich auf den Kaico Adapter aufmerksam, welcher nach Sonderrabatt durch den Kauf mehrerer Kaico Artikel nur knapp 50 Euro gekostet hat. Der Versand (durch Amazon) erfolgte zwar aus England aber es wurde keine extra Zollgebühren fällig. Das Kabel zur Konsole ist bereits integriert und es wird keine extra Stromadapter benötigt (bye bye Kabelsalat). Der Adapter nutzt das S-Video Signal hat eine normale HDMI Buchse. Da mir das Bild beim ersten Test noch nicht richtig zusagte und ich Bildaussetzer hatte, spielte ich die aktuelle Firmware auf und nahm dabei auch gleich noch die entsprechenden Einstellungen vor. Den Bildmodus habe ich auf S-Video mit 2x Filter gesetzt. Den Offset der Bildposition habe ich angepasst, da ich sonst seitlich einen hellen Streifen hatte. Mit dem Kaico-Adapter macht das Spielen auf dem N64 wieder Spaß und er übertrifft in der Bildqualität sogar das RetroTINK-2X MINI (mit dem einfachen S-Video Kabel). Am Super-Nintendo holt das RAD2X cable über RGB zwar noch etwas mehr raus, kostet dafür aber rund das Doppelte (wenn es nicht ausverkauft ist). Ich kann den Kaico-Adapter guten Gewissens empfehlen, wenn man aktuellen TVs mal wieder auf den den alten Konsolen daddeln möchte ohne dafür Unsummen auszugeben.

Il cavo ha il grande pregio di funzionare con tutte le versioni del Nintendo 64, composite e s-video, con diverse modalità di output. Conviene aggiornare subito il firmware perché sono inclusi dei fix molto utili, come quello che risolve lo sfarfallamento dello schermo con le macchine PAL, e consentono di fare soft tuning sulla qualità di output, sulle impostazioni colore e altre cose utili. Altro vantaggio è che non richiede alimentazione esterna a vantaggio della pulizia di installazione. Il tasto fisico presente sul dispositivo, unito al led multicolore, permette di avere il pieno controllo delle varie modalità che sono spiegate nel piccolo ma completo manuale di istruzioni, anche in italiano. Ci sono ancora delle righe che compaiono in modo occasionale ma che non compromettono il funzionamento del cavo, comunque con frequenza bassissima. La resa finale è veramente bella anche su OLED da 55", permettendo di godersi appieno i titoli tenendosi a un paio di metri di distanza dalla TV, cosa comunque consigliata su un pannello di queste dimensioni. Ovviamente avvicinandosi si può notare una lieve sfocatura dovuta al filtro, restando inferiore alla resa dei titoli upscalati che si possono giocare ad esempio nel pacchetto aggiuntivo per Nintendo Switch. Comunque per questo prezzo totalmente accettabile, visto che soluzioni più performanti richiedono l'installazione di componenti aggiuntivi all'interno della console, costringendo a manometterla. Consiglio questo prodotto a chiunque voglia giocare titoli N64 senza installazioni complicate e con una qualità visiva del tutto accettabile. Questo prodotto costituisce un salto netto rispetto alle soluzioni basate su cavo component o scart da 10-20€ di prezzo.
