Works well - not a fan of the ring
Rope releases from bag as designed - I like the foam disk at the bottom for additional floatation for the bag. I also like the carabiner to assist in anchoring to a tree etc during a rescue (don't tie to yourself!). I'm not a fan of the plastic ring float - I feel this detracts from a rescuer's ability to effectively throw the bag (student's have a hard time throwing with the ring at the end) and could snag on trees, rocks etc. during a river rescue. Well made bag though.

Need one for your boat
I hope not to need this, but it is great to have handy on the boat. It has an extra large carabiner hook on one end that you can attach to a railing. Seems like it will be easy to throw in an emergency.

It's everything a throw rope should be.
70 foot was a good length for me. No cliff edges or high banks to deal with. The knots on the ends did not look completely secure, so I whipped the tail end to prevent any possibility of the knot coming undone. I now have complete confidence in this throw rope. I am a recreational user, not part of a professional rescue team. The end knots knocked one star off my rating, but it was an easy fix.
