The quality of the costume was good enough to last a minor rain storm and another wind storm. I kept the mannequin in the shade so I’m not sure how the colors would fare after days in the sun. I wish the fabric would have been more of a cotton but for the price this was just fine. I added some faux fur for the beard and hair. Next year I think I’ll add some stiffening to his hat because it kept lilting slightly to the side. The neighbors and security always stop by to see who has shown up at our house for the holidays.

This was exactly what I needed! It's a one size fits all so for someone short like I am, you need to take it up a bit but that's not too bad.I'd also recommend running a warm iron over it once you get it out of the package just to make it lay straight (like it appears in the photo) and tack the lapels down so they stay in place.The hat is a little big - it's sized for a man - but you can sew a barrette into it and clip it in your hair to get it to stay in place. It will actually stand up like in the photo as it is made from felt and not the polyester of the rest of the suit. To keep it standing up in a breeze, I stuffed it with some stiff netting.Good buy. Held up well and I'll be able to wear it many more times.

For the price, this costume is a home run. As long as you keep in mind that this is a cheap costume and don't expect too much, you'll be pretty happy too. It takes a little bit of effort to make this into a great costume, but again the price is right. I'm 6'2" and 190 lbs. and this thing is pretty baggy on me, but that makes it funnier. You'll get the Coat, Pants, Bowtie, and Hat. Note that a white shirt is NOT included.The pants and coat are made of cheap, thin polyester. The pants have an elastic waistband that should fit most, but if you're portly you may have to cut the elastic and hold it together with safety pins. It might also be wise to either hem the pants or hold them up with safety pins. Regardless, you'll have to wear other pants under these very thin costume pants.The coat has double-breasted buttons but doesn't actually button. I used a safety pin to hold mine shut. It came out of the package very wrinkled. Although the tag says not to iron the fabric, I had success ironing it on low/medium heat. The lapels are a little different than what's shown in the picture - they go a little further down and have big peak lapels that touch your shoulders. The peaks are very floppy and frequently fall down. I taped some cardboard to the back of the lapels (custom cut from a cereal box) to give them some needed rigidity.The hat is made of felt and the stars are sewn on very poorly, but that makes it a little funnier. also, the brim is much, much more floppy than the picture indicates. I have a very large head (size 8 fitted cap) and the had pretty much fits me, so if you have a small head you may have to make some adjustments.The accessories you'll need to add are a white shirt, black shoes, white gloves, and a wig/beard. Overall, I'm very happy with this costume for the price I paid

I wear a size 11 men's and the shoes just barely fit. It's best to take your shoes off first and then slip them inside the clown shoes. The soles of the clown shoes will last and last. No need to worry about wearing a hole in them. Keep a few extra red nose pieces in your pocket as they sometimes fall off and you don't realize it. If you carry balloons, tie a knot about 2 feet from the balloons to keep them together. The most important item to address is keeping the wig and hat on and straight. I first sewed the hat to the wig where I wanted it. Then my wife attached it to my hair. In the headline I talked about keeping the hat straight with a balloon. Keep a few extra in your pocket in case it breaks. The costume itself was incredible. Great looking quality. You'll need to iron the top and please be sure to use your iron on medium. The pants will not need ironed. Make sure to order some cheap white gloves as it will accent the costume perfectly and will keep your hands warm in the cold months! Hope this helps. Parker Hanson

Who sizes these things? Stretchy, so I will keep, but a xl shouldn’t be so tight. Costume so I expected cheap quality, but dang!

This product was advertised as an adult costume, it was anything but! According to the associated size guide, I should have worn a medium. The costume that arrived may have fit a 6-8 year old, certainly not a 42 year old. I will say the quality of the costume was good, but the sizing was not. Upon processing my return, I noted that this is a frequently returned item, likely for incorrect sizing. I'd recommend looking at other options to save you some time and hassle.

I bought this for a patriotic outfit costume and kicked butt!! I am a small woman, 5'3", so I got a men's small and it's a little big but does the job. I also got a wig and chin piece to go with it and everyone just loved it!!! This, like all costumes, is made of thin fairly cheap material but it's fine for a few uses. I would recommend it. Size small should work for women, adolescent boys, or men who are short/slim.

Perfect costume to celebrate the 4th. It was a typical costume of very light material that wasn’t meant to last through many seasons. For the price it was a good buy. I did have to buy a goatee and eyebrows separately as those do not come with the costume
