GatoradeOrange Thirst Quencher Powder Mix 51oz Packet Makes 6 Gallons

Turns out we've all been duped on 'recyclable' plastics. Those almost all go to the landfill after all. We've been buying the 16-packs of Gatorade bottles, but read that those bottles most likely end up as trash even after we recycle them. I remembered that you *used* to buy Gatorade as a powder. Cheaper, and *much* better for the environment.So now we've switched back to this powder. One really nice thing is that you can mix it to taste. The bottled version tasted way too much like sugar syrup to me in the summer (but I chug one of the standard bottles in one breath). We were diluting them one-to-two. With the powder, we just mix a gallon jug to the dilution we want, and pour that into the bottles. We still use the Gatorade bottles - the size is pretty good - but we're not sending them to the landfill anymore.

Great value for money. You can dilute it to a healthier strength than what the bottles come in. This enables me to hike 30+ miles a day on the PCT and doesn't weigh much. Just add water from the nearest mountain spring.

Yes, this mix does not taste exactly like the ones you get from the bottles. I did like the taste and it reminded me of Tang. It is a good value.

I have severe leg cramps at night because of certain medications.I keep a glass of Gatorade next to my bed.Not only does it help keep me hydrated but it has a great taste. Great for traveling ,always have my Water bottle full.So much cheaper to buy the powder and add water ,on my second bag.

I like the powder--mix it in a gallon jug---no recycling fee !! Tastes the same as what you get in a bottle--much cheaper--I just re order it and way I go--
