Spellbinders S4-110 Nestabilities Classic Ovals (Large) Etched/Wafer Thin Dies

I purchased the classic oval lg. the biggest one is supposed to be 3.25 x 2.25 in but it's actually 2.75 x 3.75. did i get a different one?

I'm new to die cutting. i just got a sizzix big shot pro. i like the embossed look. do i need something additional to emboss with my big shot?

Will these work in the sizzix big shot machines? Also are the dies metal?

Are the measurements from the cutting edge or the outside edge?
