I began using Doctor's Best MSM Powder about a year ago. At first I purchased the Doctor's Best MSM in pill form but because I always like to take supplements in powder form when available I switched about a month into using MSM. I LOVE the powder so much better! I am a regular smoothie drinker and add some MSM to my daily smoothie. I never taste it, I couldn't even tell you what the taste is like because no smoothie has ever tasted "off" to me. I am sure if your just mixing the Doctor's Best MSM in with water, you may find it doesn't taste good so I would recommend mixing it with something that has a flavor and it should not be noticeable. I started taking this overall to help with skin/hair/nails as that is one of the touted claims of MSM. I am also aware of the other benefits of MSM such as help with joint pain and even touted as helping with cysts. From my own experience, I can tell you I do think it helps with the skin and hair! My nails on the other hand never got all that strong, though nothing has ever made them strong my whole life. I continue taking it because I believe it helps me have less breakouts, I'm now less prone to stretch marks and my face looks fantastic (though I do other natural things on my face) and always without fail if I feel bloated, will help my digestion and if needed produce a healthy toilet treasure if you know what I mean. I do want to cation you if you are a lady, for whatever reason (I have PCOS, not sure if that's part of it) but I have to lighten up on my doses two weeks before my cycle (around the time of ovulation) and try to completely stop about one week before my cycle or my mensuration disappears! As in, doesn't come AT ALL. I noticed this within a couple of months of taking about a half teaspoon a day. The dose was higher than the label stated, but I see the best results with more MSM. However, even when I tried doing the recommended dose, I was still late for my cycle, which would not come until at least a week after stopping the MSM. A search on the internet proved I wasn't crazy and others have experienced this crazy side effect too. It doesn't happen to every one, and even some suggest it helps their PMS and whole cycle...BUT not me! So I wanted to throw this out there...do your own research as with any supplement! All in all, my hair sheds less and grows at a healthy rate, my skin has only minimal break outs and stopped being so oily/dry and just became "normal" Also after gaining a little weight, I noticed I have no new stretch marks...and believe me, I get stretch marks like crazy (I once got them from my skin swelling from a reaction to something!) So if I gained 20+ pounds in 6 months and have no signs of pink stretch marks, this MSM is to thank!! It helps digestion and with careful attention to how I take it, it's a staple in my home! I don't suffer from much joint pain so I can't comment of that but I have a family member with terrible joint pain and swelling and she swears this took her swelling down faster than the steroid her Doctor puts her on when she flares up and also commented on her improved mobility after using up just one jar!! The price here on Amazon is very good compared to my health food store and this brand is OptiMsm which is important when buying MSM because of the purity.

I actually bought this for hair growth. I researched and loved the other results they said you can get from this. Also read it was good for joint pain and menstrual pain as well as good for your skin and healthy hair & nails. I have only been taking it about a week. I have yet to notice changes in my hair. My hair has suffered a lot. I've bleached it and flat ironed it often. I am praying I can grow it back out were the bleach and heat broke it off. This is the shortest I've had my hair since I was a teenager. I'll be back with an update. As far as knee joint pain, within the first 4 days of taking it, it decreased. I really like that added benefit. I am stoked from all the reviews so I am excited to see my hair results. My nails already grow fast so I see that to be the same. I actually started off taking the 3 scoops once a day in the morning and no side effects. I actually take it in water, but of course you can take it in juice or smoothies. I don't mind the bitter taste. Hoping for great results! Update** I'm going on a little over a month of taking this at 3 grams daily. It really messed with my period at first. It was barely there then it became very heavy but I read somewhere about this and they said keep taking it and I did, so it finally stopped. Also I noticed that the hair under my arms grew super fast and I have yet to notice extreme growth of the hair on my head but, I hope to see those results within the next couple of months. My skin seems to look really good but I've never had bad skin. It is still helping with my knee pain and I have no complaints. 2nd Update 4/18/24 ****Before I started taking this I had really extreme hair fall. I felt it was due to bleaching and flat ironing often, as I mentioned but I am sure stress caused it as well. I have noticed within these couple of months taking it that my hair fall has decreased by more than half. It seems to be growing faster/steady. It has been hard for me to tell how much in this short time. I am still taking the 3 grams a day. All in all I really like this MSM powder, many positive benefits. My period is not coming as it should but it could be a lot of other factors, other than that, no complaints.

Leaving a review aft using it consistently since July. I was going thru a hair shedding phase due to stress. And no matter how many times the hair would grow back, it would start shedding again in a few months. This stopped the hair fall. And helped my hair grow. Have to warn that if u have issues with facial hair then u may want to think twice since this made even my eyelashes and eyebrows thicker and longer. I earlier used to do threading of my upper lip once a month. Now I need to do it every 20 days or so. Another tip is to wash ur hair at least twice a week. People experiencing hair loss probably are scared to wash hair more often since u tend to lose more hair during a hair wash. I was washing once a week since I don’t have an oily scalp. But switching to twice a week also helped control the hair fall. So try this once. Taking it along with vitamin C is supposed to be better.

Good product but it tastes so bad , just eat with yogurt or juice
