Good duty shoes...
I work on a 12 hour shift and i walk and move every 30 minutes. These boots so far had exceeded my expectations for a $38 price tag. It has enough cushioning that makes it comfortable to wear all day. The only drawback for me is the shoe laces. I replaced the shoe lace with a shorter one made of paracord. Overall, im satisfied with this purchase and im planning on purchasing an extra one as a back up in case the quality of these shoes changes in the future.

Ultimately a product failure
These boots are both sturdy and lightweight. I would suggest ordering a half size larger than you usually wear which will ensure they fit nice with heavier socks on. Highly recommend this product. Great value!!!Update to my earlier review. I purchased these boots in December and had been very happy with them hiking in them every day. I live on an island so lots of beach hiking and almost all the inland trails have sandy soil as well. Last week while walking on the beach I began to feel a lump under my left foot. I figured some sand may have gotten in over the top which can happen but my pants legs covered the top. When I got home I tried to dump the sand out and nothing. I took out the inner sole and tried again, nothing. I could feel the sand under the fabric and could manipulate it but could not get it out. I had to take a seam ripper and put a small hole into the fabric to free the sand. I have no idea how it got in. My concern was that if sand can get in so can water. Low and behold yesterday while walking in dew laden grass, no rain or puddles mind you just dew, my feet (both left and right) got soaked. These boots had gone from waterproof (which I believe they were initially) to sponges. As a result I can no longer recommend or endorse this product.

Edited** Good hiking boots, just takes days to dry out
Edited**** Seller contacted me and has offered a full refund since these boots didn't work as I had hoped. Updated to 4 star from 2 star. I'll just wear them as regular hiking boots, as they are quite comfortable. These boots are waterproof if the water doesn’t go over the top. I understand that they will get wet if water flows in from the top. I expected that. What I didn’t expect was how heavy they got when wet! Like a sponge inside! At least 3-4 times heavier than when dry. To top it off, it took 3 days in a very dry environment (Grand Canyon) for the boots to dry out. Very disappointed. They are comfortable hiking books, but not useful if the water goes over the top and gets inside. These boots are not good for hiking up stream beds. Just takes way too long to dry out, and get way too heavy. Disappointed.

Great shoes
My son is a landscaper and beats the heck out of these shoes. He says they feel great and do fantastic in the rain, even when soaked, they dry overnight in front of a fan and are dry in the morning to take another beating !!

Best pair of hiking shoes I have owned.
Cons: you must double knot the laces to keep them tied.Pros: Great quality for the price. firm ankle support. Waterproof. Water Wicking. Comfortable insoles. Good traction.I have had these hiking boots for a couple of weeks now. I take my 2 dogs hiking 2-3 times a week. They pull me down some loose gravel trails, and I am able to catch traction from the slide. We cross the shallows (water lower than the top of the boot) and they do not leak. Temps have been in the low-mid 90s durong our hikes, and my feet stay dry. The water wicking material is for real. These are the first hiking boots that I haven't thrown a pair of Dr. Scholls inserts into; because the memory foam insole is that comfortable of a spongy support. The laces fit firm in the upper hooks holding the hightop in a firm and comfortable ankle support. The laces don't slip from the hooks when the shoes untie; however, the laces must be double knotted if you don't want to continually stop and retie them. Also, the boots shipped with an extra pair of laces.

Surprisingly good and generally waterproof.
I wanted some cheap boots to use during the winter/fall instead of wearing out my expensive Keen hiking boots for general duties. I wanted something light weight enough that I could wear them in the office all day but also comfortable because I do a fair amount of walking at work. These look good and so far have functioned well. Soft but supportive sole and waterproof, having tested them while power washing my car. That usually saturates my boots and shoes and these keep me dry. I have not tried to submerge them, however. I purchased an 11 and usually wear a 10.5-11. They are just a touch big, but wearable. I don't think you'll have to worry about these running small.

Great Boot for the price
I have worn these boots 3 times for late fall fishing trips. When launching our boat temperatures ranged from 10 to 15 degrees. I wore one pair of socks. My feet remained comfortable. Docks had been pulled out of the water so I had to beach the boat. Got out in 3 inches of water. My feet remained dry.

For the price, not bad
I ordered the matte black pair and upon first glance, they looked good--not too tall and not too short. They don't look clunky, either. The product description says they're leather, but I'm not sure if I agree. Maybe they are and that's just the waterproofing material I'm feeling that gives them a slippery, vinyl-like feel. Overall, the fit and finish of them is decent.Anyway, my biggest gripe is the lacing. I REALLY had to crank on these to get them tight, which wouldn't have been a problem except that when I let go to tighten up the next row, the ones I'd just tightened loosened again. And back and forth I went. Also, the laces don't slide real easily through the eyelets, so I was a little concerned that I was going to rip one out--which is what another reviewer had mentioned happening.Once they were on, they were pretty comfortable. I wear a size 11 in just about every shoe/boot I own, and the fit of these, length-wise, was right on the money. And, they offer great ankle support once they're tied. There was a little extra room in the toe area (like my toes were in an airplane hangar), so I added an insole and that snugged everything up nicely.I bought them for riding my motorcycle, and it seems they will serve that purpose just fine. I'll see how the lacing situation goes; maybe the more I wear them, the less I'll have to crank on them.

Extremely comfortable and warm
I have hypermobile flat feet with very long toes and need to wear supportive orthotic insoles. Obtaining reasonably priced walking boots has proved difficult as the uncomfortable / painful aspects only become apparent after wearing them for a while outside, by which time I am stuck with them. Having read some positive reviews I decided to take the risk of wearing them outside and can honestly say that they are very comfortable indeed after a leisurely 4 hour walk and I feel confident about going on a long walk in them knowing that my feet won't hurt by the time I get back. They have enough cushioning to protect my feet but not so much that they are unstable for my hypermobile ankles and the heel base is sufficiently wide to be stable. Also the upper part of the boot is not so stiff as to rub against and hurt my calves, a problem I have had with some other walking boots. I have no idea how long they will last but so far, for the price, these are very good value, extremely warm and comfortable and I would recommend them highly.

Terrible quality
These boots started off great, they fit really well and were really comfortable.Unfortunately, I've only had them 3 weeks and only walked 24 miles, walking on pavements and fields, and they've completely split apart on one side (see picture) VERY disappointed.

Ok boots for the price, but not waterproof
Considering they're fairly cheap as boots go, these are ok. But they are most definitely not waterproof. Even walking through wet grass for a while if it's even a few inches deep leaves them a bit wet inside.

Great price and quick delivery of a 100% pair of walking boots.
These boots are great for the money and very comfortable to wear and light weight my first time purchasing this type of boots I'm used to steel toe cap boots. But I am really pleased with my new purchase. It was my friend's opinions on walking boots or shoes saying that walking boots or shoes are the most comfortable footwear so I looked at loads of different types of walking boots and shoes and I finally made the above choice of the price and design and look of the boots.I have recommended these boots to my friends and family.
