A Hilariously Fun Ride!
I’m a little late to the Copper Valley party and have been reading books a bit out of order, but that has not ruined my enjoyment of this story at all. The Pilot and the Puck-Up was sooo much fun! I really loved getting into the head of Zeus Berger and Joey Diamonte. This entire book was so utterly wholesome, sassy, sweet and funny!Zeus is a gentle giant of a man who is used to being adored for what he brings to the Hockey World than who he is as a person. People expect loud and over the top, but they don’t really SEE him as a person. Joey is a strong incredible woman who bows to no man. She has fought to be a successful pilot and businesswoman and is used to men being intimidated by her. She’s not surprised she doesn’t have much of a love life because she knows she’s one tough cookie, but it gets a little lonely. What Zeus and Joey never foresee is to meet and be both attracted to one another and annoyed all at the same time. These two are so darn adorable with the way they fall in love and I think their story definitely illustrates how finding your person can be unexpected and scary, but always worth the risk.I really loved the way the characters talk to the reader at times. Their internal dialogue had me rolling. I laughed at all of Zeus’s fantastic callbacks, replies and zingers. Joey was sassy and absolutely the peanut butter to his jelly. If you want a feel good book with a swoony MC and a spirited FMC that results in an awww my heart is so full HEA, then read this book!! Pippa Grant has a way of making your heart ridiculously happy. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this series.

Adorable couple
The first time Joey met Zeus, he was wearing a pink wig, a dress and heels. He certainly stood out at the fundraiser they were at. He only became aware of Joey because of a bet. He figured she would be easy to get but she proved to be anything but easy. Joey made him work for it and things still ended up disappointing. The harder Zeus tries with her, the more he is convinced that she was made for him. The more that Joey is around Zeus, the more he surprises her. They are so hilarious together and they were definitely made for each other.

Zeus and Joey - a beautiful love story for all us weirdos
This book is for all the women (and men) that think they are too different, too loud, too weird, too hard, too whatever to be worthy of beautiful, sweet, fairytale love. This story shows us we are all worth finding what makes our heart happy. It has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steamy, side splitting hilarity, tearful scenes, and heart squeezing love. Zeus and Joey’s love story has all the feels - expect to laugh and cry - but more importantly, expect to be able to see yourself as sexy and beautiful for all the moments when you’ve been a less than magazine model, designer label wearing, perfectly put together, sweet as pie woman. On the surface, Zeus and Joey both appear to be too rough around the edges and too big of personalities to be a good match together. Zeus is a 6’9” mountain of a man who’s a professional hockey player. Everyone believes he isn’t very bright and see him only as a sideshow freak. Joey is not a typical woman. She is a swearing, hard driving pilot who owns her own company and flies planes that simulate Martian, moon and zero gravity. Neither Zeus nor Joey believe they will ever have a spouse or kids because they’re too weird but love finds a way regardless of our weirdness. On their way to their HEA, Zeus and Joey have to both learn a lot about love, trust, letting go of fear, and learning to embrace who you are. Sprinkled liberally throughout this beautifully paced story of Zeus and Joey’s HEA, there are also some other characters from the Pippa Universe. It is okay if you have not yet read the love stories of these characters though. They are woven seamlessly into this story so rather than being overwhelming or detracting from the main love story, these characters are beautiful additions to the unfurling of Zeus and Joey’s dance of love, passion and hilarity. With The Pilot and the Puck Up, Pippa Grant once again proves she’s the queen of rom-coms.

Loved it
Not the first book I've read by this author and I was very pleased with each one.this one was just as good if not better. I had a smile on my face all the time and my fits of laughter were often met with a confused stare from my husband who has been questioning my sanity for years. Totally worth it !Highly recommended

Divertido e leve

Awesome book. Couldn't stop reading! Laughed so hard at times that I made people wonder what the hell was wrong with me. Totally melted when it was all romantic or hot and steamy...... and omg did I meantion the hot guy on the cover?
The only thing that was a bit "less" to me , was the "o my dog". I prefer the "normal" OMGGreat book ( even if you don't care about hockey). :-)

I haven't laughed out loud so much with a book since I don't know when. Zeus and Joey' s story is full of fun, angst and hotness. Their interaction with each other and with the other characters will make your cheeks hurt with smiling and laughing so much.Oh, and Zeus, I know how you feel and about those eight legged gits!!Absolutely recommended.
