Cons: First thing out of the package I discovered was the tents bottom material is the same as the top and sides. No thicker tarp like material that even the cheapest tents are made with for the bottom. This offers very little moisture protection. Another weak point is how the tent must be staked down to prevent it from sitting like a banana. This is fine for ground pitching but when on a wooden platform, this is going to be a huge issue. Also.... no ceiling points to hang a light from. Another major inconvenience... if you get cold or it starts raining during the night, prepare to get up, go outside and zip up the window flys that are not accessible from the interior. And finally.... practice collapsing it before you get where you're going or you will struggle trying to get it back into its "huge and inconveniently sized bag".Pros: The tent is big. Plenty of floor space. You can easily kneel or sit up anywhere in the tent. There's a door at both ends. Plenty of ventilation.

So I used to have the G4Free Pop up Tents 3-4 Person UV Protection tent, which was great, same style just smaller, I could sleep by myself as a single 6'0 185 male with a full cabelas cot in that thing and plenty of room on the sides.Unfortunately at no fault of its own it suffered a catastrophic failure on my last camping trip (I don't want to talk about it) and I figured id look for something bigger.This one appears to be quite a bit bigger, I haven't had a chance to set it up yet unfortunately but see the pictures. It feels like the rods inside are also quite a bit thicker than the previous one I owned.I have a 2012 acura TL and it fit in the back seat of my car and the trunk. I have pretty good spatial recognition and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical. The other tent I had slid conveniently on top of all the other stuff you packed in the trunk, this one definitely won't.If youre wondering if the pop up style tent is really as convenient as it sounds, the answer is yes. This is a nice tent. It is pretty big. I used it just for myself and all my stuff, including my porta potty fit inside with me very nicely. I slept in it for five nights of beach camping. The outside of the tent got very wet as is normal with beach camping, but none of the moisture got inside. I only had two things about it that I didn't like. The first one is that the zippers get stuck very easily. And the second is that the windows only open and close from the outside of the tent. I really liked the size and the ease of putting it up and down. I may end up buying another one.

I’ll start by saying I bought this tent NOT with the intention of going camping or sleeping in it...I needed a temporary makeshift shed to store stuff that would otherwise be put in a shed (once we get one).I should mention that for whatever reason, I imagined the tent to be much taller so I was surprised when I found I couldn’t stand up inside of it.That said, building the tent was ridiculously easy.I took it out of the big circle travel case, positioned it where I wanted it, and dropped it down where it did it’s thing and opened up (in less than 3 seconds) into a very decent sized tent.I’ve owned a few tents, cheap ones and expensive ones, and this was by far the easiest tent setup I’ve ever experienced.Another thing I really liked that I hadn’t noticed when I bought it—but was a huge bonus for me—is that it has two doors / entries which is great if you’re storing stuff inside and need extra access because this virtually eliminates having inaccessible stuff in the back.As a tent, I can see how having two doors can be very convenient as well. My scout and I used this when we knew we would arrive late at a camp out. Worked like a dream. Threw down a tarp and threw the tent in the air and POOF! Tent’s ready. We had no wind and no rain so we didn’t need stakes or scotch guard that weekend but will be doing both of those for our next camping trip. If you haven’t used a tent or cabana like this before then you really need to watch a few videos on how to collapse them and practice it before you take it camping or you are in for a frustrating time. I’m 5’5” tall and have used similar products and it took me several tries to collapse it properly. Still, less work in set up and tear down that our old six man tent was.
