We wound up not needing to replace this seal, but we're going to do it as a precaution. However, it was so folded and creased, we chose to put the old one back on instead.

Couldn't use it because the transmission filter is built in the transmission so you can't change the filter nor the gasket. Why would Amazon suggest a part that you can't use when you're purchasing something else when the say "buy these together" knowing that you won't be able to use it even though you're ordering the product based on the year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle or you don't need it. When I took it to a mechanics shop to get it installed the mechanic said I couldn't use it because the filter is built in the transmission. I also talked to another mechanic and he told me the same thing.
