Hoffman ASE12X12X4 Pull Box, Screw Cover with Knockouts, Steel, 12" x 12" x 4", Gray

I needed this large box for a bunch of electrical connections in a basement. This size is larger than what you can typically find at places like Home Depot. I've worked with Hoffman products since the mid 1980s, they are very good quality.

Wish there was one without the knockouts ? I tried finding one but you know how it is a on A-M-Z ....type in one word and get 10,000 unrelated items to weed through. The box is DIRECTIONAL, so be sure to be mindful BEFORE you start drilling and or knocking out the plugs otherwise your keyholes on the cover will be left and right not up down. I wish they offered it WITH the drywall cover so I didn't have to buy it separate, now I have a 12x12 piece of metal I'll save forever. Was shipped out fast but I pay for that !!

i used this product on a new construction project where we are moving machinery from one location to another and this box is perfect for using a as a junction and pull box for electrical wiring. This box is the exact same box you would buy at an electrical supply store and much less expensive.

Looking through the description you'll see several demensions...but after receiving I can confirm this box is exactly 4.00" deep. Good quality finish and 4 sided pucnh outs. I bought a 10x10x4 box from Home Depot (biggest size they sell and needed it quickly) that ended up being almost 4.5" deep, which with 2x4's and drywall means you'll have a protrusion... Exactly as described delivered on time

The size I needed, but there is no way to mount your items. Basically have to set your item inside, mark holes and drill them out. Also, the knockouts are really in there good. I tried knocking them out but no way. I finally had to use a step drill bit to drill them out. I also sprayed it with a coating because another reviewer said his started to rust. Not a user friendly box for sure.
