A tribute to golf
I love and play the game of golf. This book was recommended by a colleague. It is beautifully written and one feels like you're in the course.

Good Book But The Eagle Putt Lipped Out.
Had looked forward to reading this book during Masters week since the Masters isn’t being played (?) until November. It did not disappoint, but neither did it thrill.Lots of interesting stories , but lacked any real emotion that always accompanies the Masters. Couldn’t visualize the azaleas or feel the crowd. Felt the competition at times, sometimes not.A good book, but not a great one. In fairness, if I had not been to the Masters many times, I might well consider this the best Masters book ever written. It’s good, possibly great for someone who’s never been there, but I can’t say it captures the essence of the tournament. The writer is obviously a very detailed reporter, but that was somewhat of a problem in his writing here. Several times in successive chapters he repeated the same information from previous chapters, sometimes in the same chapter. He did this to emphasize how a golfer’s previous experiences in the tournament affected what happened or did not happen on a particular shot in a particular round.Love the way he compared cheers for Michelson on the golf course to cheers Derek Jeter in Yankee Stadium. Same for Tiger when he won in 2019.Would love to give this book a 5-star rating, but can’t quite do it. How about a 4 3/4?

Great Stories But Not Much From Behind The Scenes
This is a great collection of Masters stories and interviews, most of which many golf fans have heard before. But, it's organized well and very interesting to read. The title is what grabbed my attention. I surely wanted to learn more about the tournament and club and the behind the scenes activities, but there was very little of that. In fact, very few "behind the scenes" anything.

good stories, bad editing
there are a lot of good stories about the masters, some directly tied to famous golfers like tiger, phil, etc., and other stories related to the tournament you rarely hear about, which is refreshing. however, the interesting anecdotes are done a major disservice by the terrible editing and repetitive nature of the book. i can't recall reading a book with so many grammatical and factual errors; in fact, it was downright shocking at times. it is as if the author wrote the book over the course of several months and never bothered to check what he had already written previously.i have read this author's work in the ny post for years and it's always been solid. this is a decent book with a creative take on the masters, but it could have been so much better.

Really good read!
Thoroughly enjoyed this book, about the 6th Ive read since the start of COVID-19. I've read many golf books over the years, including multiple stories on Tiger Woods. What distinguished this book from all the others is thoroughness of his stories about various players, not delving into gossip, but true behind the scenes looks at the players and their stories: Arni, Jack, Tiger, Phil, Rory,Sergio and many lesser stars interlude including Larry Mize and Charles Howell. But Cannizzaro's book goes beyond even the players to give i sights into the Augusta Chronicle newspaper and many of the other “actors” that Make The Masters the terrific sporting event that it is. Great read, thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Average
Some interesting stuff but a lot of factual errors including in the very beginning and throughout. I like his reporting so I gave this a try wish I would have waited for it to be on kindle unlimited.

Great book on the Masters experience
I really enjoyed this book and all the anecdotal stories surrounding the Masters experience. I am looking forward to going to Auguata National next year (finally getting to use my 2020 tickets for a practice round).

Just about okay.
An easy read but nothing of great value.

Worst Masters Book of All Time
I’ve read numerous books about the Masters. If your a fan read them. Between the typos and repetitiveness this book was a chore to read.
