PlasmaGlow 11120 Black LED Activator Switch with Blue Light (On/Off Version)

I used this to install aux lights on my Jeep. The switch looks very cool when it's on and disappears (visually) into the dash when it's off. I think athestics are its best feature. I would not use it for an everyday use switch becasue it does have to be depressed a long way to activate fully. For my purpose, however, this is a good feature because you can press in slightly and the switch will act as a momentary switch and turn itself off when I let go of it. Mine came with a three wire pigtail that is not shown in the photo. The wires and connectors are smaller than you would expect to see on a automotive switch. I'm not sure of the gauge but it was significantly smaller than the 18g.wire I was connecting to.

I've had this switch installed in my Tahoe for over a year now. I really like the functionality of the switch, as it controls my fog lamps. I typically leave the switch in the ON position, so that the fogs come on when the lights come on. I had no problem with the install or any other aspect of this switch. The reason for the 3 star rating is because of the brightness of the blue led: its too bright. At night, when the lights come on and the fogs are ON, the blue glow around the switch is too bright. The switch is installed in the center of my dash, near the HVAC controls (in the On-Star plate) and its just too bright for my taste. That said, I still use it, but it gets annoying at times and that makes me turn it off. Otherwise, its a fantastic switch and I really like the flush mount on my dash.

This switch has a great blue glow. Think carefully about placement. I saw a video where someone put them on the A-Pillar. I found this light to be pretty bright...but at night I turn down my panel display. You cannot adjust the brightness of this light "as is". So, I wired it out of line-of-sight at my seated right knee. Plenty bright to easily reach. One surprise on installation--the light is more deep than I expected. In my install, I had about 1.5 inches clear behind the hole I cut in the dash. Turns out, I needed about another 3/4 inch to fasten and route the wires. Lesson: Make sure you have enough clearance behind on the mounting space. I offer this because I've mounted many lights--didn't measure depth beforehand.

The switch is nice but it's red not blue. I sent the seller a note and they gave me a full refund and let me keep it.

This switch is smaller than I thought, but it is in no way too small. It comes with a rubber O-ring that will allow it to be waterproof. It comes with 3-wires (22 AWG) hooked up to the leads and ready to be connected to whatever it is you're connecting to; Red / Black / White. The switch is VERY solid, and I am extremely happy with the purchase. Very satisfying feeling when it clicks in -- very good tactile feedback. The price is a bit steep, but you DEFINITELY get what you pay for. The LED ring looks GREAT at night; I bought the blue one.

Love, Love, Love these switches! They are perfect additions if you are planning on using in your vehicle. I used two to mount exterior LED lights on my Jeep. The light that is emitted from the switch when "On" is the perfect, bright yet mellow tone. The light does not distract me while driving, despite being in my line of sight on my A-Pillar. Can't say enough about the quality of this item. Buy it now!

This is my first PlasmaGlow Switch and the switch is all that I could want except one thing. The light is Red, Not Blue. Not that this was a huge problem but, If and when I take on my next Jeep Mod and add another PlasmaGlow switch I would want the color I order.

This little guy is kind of pricey but well worth it. I use it on my ATV for off road lights and I'm a big fan of mudding. It's definitely waterproof.
