Arkon Seat Rail or Floor Car Truck Mount with Gooseneck for Samsung Galaxy S6 S5 S4 Galaxy Note 5 Galaxy Tab Active

I bought this about 18 months ago and I loved it. I'm writing this review because about 3 weeks ago the metal from the arm broke. Being a solid aluminum wire it can only be bent so many times before it fatigues. It held both my cellphone (S6 edge plus) and my tablet (galaxy tab 8 in) with ease. If you can install this in a place where it won't move I'm sure you will get more time out of it than I did. I loved it and I will be buying another.

Great product easy to install seller was great

I really love the design of this Arkon mount. It does exactly what I want it to. Furthermore, the flexible gooseneck and floor mounting bracket seem quite sturdy. Unfortunately, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and this mount has a very weak point. I just finished installing it, and began lightly rotating the phone clamp to another position when the clamp snapped off completely. I didn't force it, abuse or misuse the mount in any way. It simply snapped because that part of the mount appears to be made from a fairly weak plastic.Arkon, I would gladly pay double (maybe even triple) the price for an all-metal version of this mount. I hope you guys will design such a mount in the future!In the meantime, I've requested an exchange. I'm going to handle the mount as gingerly as I possibly can and we'll see how it goes.
