I'm confused about the whole mount-to-charge thing. Doesn't the battery come off the unit? Couldn't you take the battery off and charge it separately?

You can either charge the battery while it's still attached to the unit or you can separate the battery (several people have bought a second battery so that they can continue vacuuming while the first one recharges if necessary for a large space) and charge it at the top of the wall mount. The video will show you what they look like. It is extremely simple to put the battery into the charger or leave it on the vacuum and charge it with the system. The only consideration that I make sure is when I hang the vacuum up I do so gently just because I'm not sure of the strength of the two screws in a stud. Hope that answers your question!

I do not have an electrical connection where I store my vacuum. Can I separate the battery charger from the mount?

The battery is easily removed from the rest of the vacuum. If you store the vacuum without using the wall mount charging holder, you could place the holder/charger anywhere you have power and charge the battery using the spare battery charging socket.

What's the difference between the s15 essentials and the s15 pet besides $1000?

Pure one S15 pet has a mini power brush more than Pure one S15 essentials. They have the same run time, suction power, dust capacity, rated power and product weight.

Does the vacuum need to be connected to the Tineco App first in order for the led display to show anything?

Hi, not necessarily, once the vacuum is activated on the smart screen, it will be displayed. Connect to the APP to operate and control the vacuum in the APP.
