I am a new fan of Fox Farm soil. At first, I got the green bag and that worked out great, but there was an issue with pest and worms that I did not care for the houseplant that I was growing. I was 100% satisfied with the brand’s happy frog soil. It was perfect for my house plant and I had absolutely NO pest issues. My plant grew beautifully and I bought another bag that I had to leave behind when I moved, but I am sure that it went to good and productive use.

I love this soil and so do my plants, but it can get expensive buying this type of soil over and over again. If you have a ton of plants like me it might not be worth it to continuously buy bags of this soil. I have opted to buy from a local mom and pop merchant because their prices are more reasonable for the volume I need to fulfill, but if you have only a few plants you want to shower some love onto, this soil could be great for them.

My plants love this!! It's lightweight (the dirt itself, not the whole bag), holds water well. It's a little pricey but comes with nutrients and adorable packaging, so I'd say its worth it. It's not clump or too loose.

Great for transplanting !

I love fox farm for starting out plants. This is such a neutral soil I just feel like plants take off when starting from seed. Highly suggest for anyone who is starting any type of plant from seed.

I've been using Happy Frog Soil for about 4 months now for veggies and herbs. When I transplanted my basil, rosemary and other herbs, along with a decent watering, they immediately grew at least 2-3 times the size overnight! For bigger growing herbs, the soil is a bit to dense. I added a 35-40% promix to them and it makes all the difference in root development.In considering value, HF is a good value bc it packs all the nutrients you need for the first few months and it's ph balanced. You still need to ensure your water ph is at recommended levels though.Overall, it's a nice rich soil with a healthy smell. As far as bugs/ants, I have not seen any in this shipment.Ensure your grows are stable and healthy by using Happy Frog Soil!
