For the price you're getting way more than what you're paying for. Does an excellent job at heating up fast and staying at the temperature range needed. I've used the product 3 times and was happy with all 3 occasions. Just take into account what you're purchasing and the price point.... Don't run the heater like it's some kind of industrial strength heat gun for hours on end and expect optimal performance, especially if you're using it at the upper range of its limits. Personally when I was using the heater I wouldn't leave it on any longer than 30 minutes at a time. Once 30 minutes was up I would turn off, let it get back to room temp and then use again. If I had to gripe about anything it would be the 2 control buttons underneath the viewing screen. They seem very fragile so make sure to take it easy with those controls. Instead of tapping the button dozens of times to get to your desired temperature you can simply hold down the button lightly and let the temperature climb of fall that way. Once again, for the price you can't go wrong.

I used mine to heatshrink onto large copper terminals. Worked very nicely. Just need to not use for too long or it will melt the plastic.

I like this heat gun, it heats quickly, has a moderate airflow with a low and high setting, and full variable digital temperature control so you can heat delicate items without burning or melting them. Just gradually increase your heat setting. Exactly what I was looking for in a heat gun. I will find this tool very useful.

Everything about this is good except that it does not blow very forcefully. It's acceptable but I'm used to the prior one I had, different make that finally died and had a great blower. Also I am not a fan of the digital controls only in that it's one more thing to break. But for now it's working great.It's a bit bulky feeling in in the hand. I wish it had had a trigger on the handle rather than a rear slide switch.But just slight cons to be aware if it matters to you. Really overall it's good and spec'd out well for the price. It might even be worth 5 stars but for that (relatively) soft blower

I wanted to add a little smoke to my gas grill while grilling. I bought a smoking tube to add pellets to and searched for the best way to light the pellets. I saw that lots of people used heat guns to start the pellets and this worked like a champ. It came with some other accessories which is nice that you would actually use for heat gunning purposes. I held the heat gun at the top of the tube and the pellets were smoking within a couple of minutes and it worked perfectly. I was able to try it out for the first time grilling some pork chops. The unit is very sturdy and has a long cord which I like. In fairness I don't know how the heat gun works in heat gun situations but for igniting my wood pellets I recommend it.

I didn't even think I needed this at all. BUT with it safely defrosted my refrigerator's freezer. I was totally finished in less than 20 minutes with all my food back in with out any signs of defrosting issues. I have had that chore last many exhausting hours. I purchased it to see if it would melt hot glue in place to fix messy glue repairs I have doñe. These repairs aren't even visible now and actually more complete and functional with about 5 - 10 minutes of safe application. Now they are really cmplete (done). I would say this has been a major improvement for me. Yes I am more than satisfied with this tool. Never had one before so I can't compare but I can NOT imagine anything I would change on this one.
