I used this to set all my fence posts and it worked great. Made getting all the posts plumb easy especially by myself.

It's ideal for the reason I purchased it: truing a vertical post without having to jimmy around with multiple levels. What I hadn't expected is that it's also great for horizontal beams using the bubble in the center joint, super stable so it won't easily topple off the beam the way traditional levels will with any angle at all.It is magnetic, so I "store" it by just sticking it to my 4-post lift. I like that it does NOT fold in half, keeping the angles true at all times. Such a simple idea, well executed. Full marks!

Very easy to use for installing vertical metal fence posts. Just wish it had a more powerful magnet. Worked well with checking level on both dimensions at the same time

If you have to sink posts... this is what you need. Its cheap enough that if you destroy it you won't cry (like you will with a high quality level)... and unlike the quality levels... you don't have to dance back and forth checking different sides of the post for plumb as you set it.Works great with metal (ferrous) posts using its built in magnets, has hooks for driving half penny nails to hang from on wood, or use the built in rubber band to hang it around a post. All in all very satisfied and will likely buy a backup for when I inevitably run over this one or lose it.

Used this to set clothesline posts in concrete. Was easy to adjust the pole straight with the levels. The rubber band looked a little cheap, and I was afraid it would break as the clothesline pole was pretty fat. But it did not. The magnets weren’t really hitting the metal of the pole, so I cannot comment on how well they would work. For my purposes, I think the rubber band held it in place.

This made setting a new fence post plumb relatively easy. Much better than using a separate level on each side where you can lose plumb on one side while you check the other side. It saved a lot of time. I don't think the rubber band provided to hold it on the post will last long though. I will have to figure out another way to do that when it breaks. Any kind of big rubber band would work though. The band provided is sized for 4x4 posts.

Purchased this to level posts but since I mainly need it for wood the strap is important. The strap is no more than a thin rubber band like strap. I was expecting something durable. Very disappointed in the quality of that.
