Powerful air flow
Very powerful and high quality fan! It is a bit loud, but we don’t mind the sound.

Great addition to lower AC electricity bill
I was thinking about a costly $2,000 whole house fan. But buying just one or more $80 Vornado fans to selectively draw outside air into the house would do a lot already when the outside temperature is cooler than the inside. I have to open some windows regardless but this solution is reversible without opening another hole on my ceiling. And it seems to work well so far and I don’t have to worry causing unexpected insulation problem in the attic.

It really moves the air!
For being a rather small fan, it moves the air around my 12' x 15' room easily. I had a tower fan that just went out and needed a replacement. Because this was a fan with adjustable height, and coupled with its air moving capability, I settled on this one. I also have a slightly larger Vornado tabletop model I keep on the floor to quickly cool off my bedroom (Texas summers!) while also using the stand fan. The main reason I bought the fan was to sleep with it on at night. It reaches right where I need it to and blows enough air at me, whichever way it's aimed at me. Great fan for my needs! The only shortcoming is it's not an oscillating fan nor does it have remote. For the most part it's on most of the day and the air is constantly swirling around my room without any adjustments or settings except to turn it on and set the fan speed. Great little fan!

BEST fan EVER!
I normally would buy your basic fan from Target or Walmart. Those $20-30 ones but now that I have experienced a Vornado fan. I’m never going back.

A real air mover
This is the second Vornado fan I have purchased. The name Vornado is probably derived from the word tornado because it moves lots of air quickly. and excellent choice to make in lieu of a more expensive air conditioner.

What I dislike about this fan
Dislikes:It's heavy.The cord comes out of the bottom at the feet making it difficult to move around.They put the on/off switch on the front under the fan head making it cumbersome to turn on/off.The is no handle to move it around.The on/off switch goes to "high", "medium" and then "low" - I would rather it start at "low" and then go up.Overall, it's not "user friendly".

Really Moves Lots of Air
Although blades are small, but this fan can move air and make hot room comfortable and even make cooling effect.
