The Granite Falls tent is a simple freestanding two pole design. There is great ventilation with two zippered windows and large side mesh panels.

Met expectations! Easy set up for a 9 year old
Got this tent for my 9 year old. She's requested to have her own tent. The deal was she could use it if she could set it up, tear it down and fit it in the storage bag with no help. She did it on her own, first time in less than 30 minutes. She disassembled it and had it stowed in 15 minutes. It was a snap. Good instructions, not too complicated. It would get 5 stars if it were a little more heavy duty. Seems great for the price.

Decent tent
The design isn't the greatest. The awning is more of a nuisance than an asset. That said, it did keep me dry in one hellacious thunderstorm. So, it gets high marks for that.

Perfect for my 11 year old Boy Scout
Perfect for my 11 year old Boy Scout! Easy to set up and take down. Bathtub style floor ensures dryness. Just the right amount of room for him and his gear.

Great tent for the price!
I've only used it once but it's a really good tent for the price. Spacious. Its got a great roof for stargazing and a cover for those rainy nights. Spent two nights in it with my dog and was pleasantly surprised at its quality!

Different from picture
Left and right sides are all screen from the orange up, probably better for ventilation. Rainfly covers every bit of tent no way rain will make into this tent, went up very easy, looks very well made. Will put thru the test this weekend

Great tent good protection for the money
This is a great tent if you plan to encounter weather. The tarp-like floor of the tent comes up a few inches on the walls of the tent, The rain fly extends well below the tarp part of the wall. The door is on the long side of the tent and the fly reaches out far enough to leave things outside of the tent (like boots and more) while still protected from rain. This is a tall backpack tent and a bit heavy. Could have been lowered by 1 pole segment. I can kneel straight up inside, which is nice if you have to wait-out a storm in your tent. The packing pouch is heavy so I leave it home. Pack weight is just about right on 7 lbs. I like it because I go to the Wind River range in Wyoming and it doesn't mater what time of year you go there is always at least some rain or snow.
