I needed this because I have an IV in my arm for week while I have antibiotic infusions daily at home. I wanted to take a shower but can’t get this IV set up wet. I was confused when I got the box because the instructions say it’s self closing so water can’t come in but I didn’t see any adhesive. Turns out that it’s brilliantly designed to go up your arm and tightly fit around your upper arm, effectively sealing it water tight. I had to trust the process and follow the instructions and now I can safely take shower without getting my IV wet.

Who would know that you would need such an item and hopefully never need. HOWEVER, the sleeves are amazing. I expected one or two showers to cover my arm cast (shattered elbow) and I was able to drip dry after use and use over again. When reusing, the waterproof seal held!! It stretched over my cast and resealed! I honestly had expectations of no more than a plastic grocery bag, one use, but this held TIGHT! Highly recommend this item...and again, hope no one needs one :-).

Bags work perfectly! Who would have thought?! They are simply made with a thicker plastic with a small cutout to inset your arm. That’s is really all you need for an arm cast.Now I wouldn’t trust water to run down your arm. The “seal” ends up being pretty good, but not like the plastic ring types with the rubber band (we have one for a leg cast).I totally judged these out of the box & thought they were useless and they proved me wrong! Great buy.

The arm sleeve does keep out water, however if you are plus size and have large arms and a cast on be ready to slowly put this on as any hard tugging my cause some strain and pain to your fractured arm. For me the opening was extremely tight to get past the elbow. I did manage it and the sleeve did not tear. When I bought it I thought how does it stay on? I thought it had like adhesive but it doesn't. It's is the tightness that keeps it on. It goes all the way up to upper arm near the armpit. Tip: take your shower quickly and don't make the water too hot or your arm will become overheated in the cast and the sleeve. You'll be more comfortable with a lower temperature in the end.

I was somewhat skeptical that this cover would be water tight, but it really worked well over my upper arm bandage. I realize it's made for wearing over casts as well a bandages, so it's quite large and floppy, but it sealed out the shower water just fine. I've reused it several times now, and it seems to be holding up.

Perfect! Uncomfortably tight, but it doesn’t leak. I can shower without worry. Very happy. Have used it 4 times now and it still seals tight. Takes the worry out of showering. It goes over a large hinged brace.

Way too long & material seems flimsy.

Very nice tight fit worked very well I have a cast from my wrist halfway up my bicep and it covered all little snug but that's what you want to keep the water out you could loosen it up a little bit. I am on the third time with just one of them and it still is a tight fit
