This hand turned pen is a beautiful work of art that can be used in a very practical way daily. This pen has a wood inlay barrel that is turned, sealed, sanded and polished. The sanding and polishing process of the pen barrel is a 12 step process that shows this material to it's fullest beauty and makes it shiny and smooth as glass. The pen is a Vertex pen which features a sleek, satin chrome design. But what makes this pen truly mesmerizing is it's unique magnetic cap. The cap easily posts magnetically onto the nib and back of the pen without the use of threads. This pen uses a Schmidt Rollerball ink cartridge, which can be purchased at most office supply stores. The rollerball also writes smoothly and gracefully, it is by and far my favorite style to write with! The barrel of this pen is a wood body with a laser cut inlay of 2 lady bugs. Each piece of the lady bugs are individually cut, then reassembles jig saw puzzle style. Once the body is assembled, the pieces are all help together with multiple layers of CA compound, then turned to size, and finally the finishing process is applied. The colors in this pen are outstanding and very vibrant. This is just a happy pen!
