A4 sized padded envelopes, that are just about padded and certainly the thickness of an envelope. I'd not hesitate to send something relatively soft, or cheap in them, but I wouldn't be sending anything of value - unless they were well protected and then put into these padded envelopes.*** Pros ***- Adhesion is good- Fits an A4 well, with space on all sizes- Padded is on both sides of the envelope- Low padding means it weighs less, so if you need to get under a weight and have light protection, these are great*** Cons ***- Come wrapped in a light plastic cover, so not the most robust protection (one envelope was half deflated for me)- Paper material is quite thin, so for shipping any sharp edged items you should consider protecting them before placing them in or putting tape around the outside of the package- Not Heavily padded*** Overall ***Glad to have them. At just over £1 each they are good value, for when you need something like this. But they are not as good as the thickly padded envelopes that are twice the price. And that of course makes sense. But don't be buying these thinking you're getting the best of both worlds - cheap and good quality. These are suitable for light packages that need a little bit of protection - nothing more.

Good quality envelopes and good price. I prefer to buy from Amazon than the local shop as price is better on Amazon!!
