Very nice. I had no problems with the articulation
Very nice. I had no problems with the articulation. I have been looking forward to this one. I am a discriminating collector of figures. I know of the original Giger prototype from reading of the design over the years. It looks brilliant under a blacklight next to my uranium glass collection. The only criticism that I have of these figures, and it is strictly a small one, I wish the inner jaw was retractable. But, other than that, a nice figurine.

Der aktuelle Alien so siehts nämlich aus.
Dies ist bei Prometäus rausgekommen. Eine völlig neue Rasse, bisschen kompliziert aber schön. Nichts für Babys! Und das meine ich ernst.

Floppy joints, but good at a discount
This seems to be another case of sellers trying to unload defective merch, or at least poorly built figs, similar to the recent flood of NECA Machiko Predator figs that popped up for $20.To start, note the bubble is way off-center from the rest of the container.Once you get it opened, you'll immediately realize the figure's ab and hip joints are very floppy. This means it can't stand on its own unless you work in the tail somehow to get a tripod effect going. And NECA stands can't be used because the feet don't have holes for them. You'll have to use a claw-type stand, like what Barbies are often paired with, or maybe a handsome stranger can lend a hand. The joints themselves aren't brittle, the whole thing feels a lot like a Marvel Legends figure, gummy legs and all. The head is restricted a lot and the ankles are poorly-designed. I have other NECA Aliens figs with better joints than this, so don't let this one turn you off from the others.I like the translucent dirty ivory paint job, the pale fig stands out among its dusky siblings.
