Grest Knife for a good price
Got the Green color, love it. Rubberised handle helps when using with wet or slippery hands. Knife is very sharp. Sheath has 2 different rententions, Knife locks in when you put in sheath, but is still easy to remove. If you push knife in a little further it is locked and almost difficult to remove. Serrations are not very aggressive, but still usable. Nice lanyard. Ferro rod works great also

Very Nice Knife!
I received this today. I was very impressed with this knife to begin with. The handle has a good feel to my medium sized hand. The grip has excellent friction, rubber like feel to it. This is important to help keep your thumb away from the serrations on top of the blade. The finger guard on the bottom will help keep your hand from slipping. The sheath is well made and firmly grips the knife. I had some difficulty getting the blade out of the sheath until I followed the directions on the video. The blade is not Mora sharp to begin with but some stopping got it very close. The fires starting tool fits perfectly in it holder and the blade easily produced sparks the first attempt. This knife/sheath/ fire starter are quality made. This price point make this and excellent buy. It would be the same even double or more the price!

Compared to the Morakniv Bushcraft it looks to be a serious bargain
The Extremus Camping Hunting Knife is a pretty amazing deal for $14.99, but all deals come with compromise. This knife like many, is an amalgamation of three parts; the blade, the handle and the sheath. This knife also includes a fire starter which is attached to and carried on the sheath. It’s a handy Bushcraft, survival feature. You can compare the $14.99 Extremus to the $14.99 - 22.95 Morakniv Craftline and Companion, but taken as a whole it is more accurately compared to the $65.85 Morakniv Bushcraft. Comparing it to the Bushcraft, which includes a fire starter, it is even more of a value.I’ll rate the blade, the handle and the sheath separately comparting them to the Moraknivs. The Moraknivs get 5 points for each, being the standard. The Extremus sheath gets 4 out of 5 points. I really like it, but the knife locks into the sheath so tightly it is almost dangerous to remove it. I’m considering drilling out the first rivet on the blade side of the sheath to ease the tension on the knife handle. I might replace it with a Chicago rivet to make the tension adjustable if it needs it. The plastic sheath is a work of art and a thing of beauty. If it weren’t for the tension issue it would get 6 out of 5 points. The knife handle is the second-best feature of the knife. I have large hands and while the handle is a little small for me, it seems right for a knife of this size. I like the combination of hard plastic and soft “rubber-ish” overholding. It provides a good comfortable grip. I would like it to provide a little more traction there my thumb sits at the top end of the handle. They went to a lot of trouble to mold the knife logo into it. They should have spent as much detail on the blade. The handle gets 5 out of 5 points as it is easily the equal of the Morakniv.Where the Extremus comes up short is in the blade and isn’t that what we buy a knife for? While not a performance issue, it lacks any laser engraving for brand, model, or composition. The handle proudly proclaims the model, but including the steel type and country of origin on the blade is a standard knife practice. It lacks the mirror finish of the Morakniv and the Extremus photos on Amazon. Neither did my example come with a razor-sharp blade as stated in the ad on Amazon. My blade is crudely sharpened with more grind marks than I would like to see in a finished product. The blade came sharp, and I can sharpen it to a razor finish if I want to, but it was not as advertised. It will barely slice paper on edge in a couple short sections of the blade, but catches and rips the paper. It is plenty sharp for most fieldcraft purposes out of the box, but any self-respecting person would sharpen it before use. The serrated edge along the backstrap is problematic. To me it seems dangerous if my thumb slipped off the handle working the knife. The possible injury could be horrific. It also appears right at the part of the blade I would use to strike the fire starter. I like serrated blades, but prefer the serrations on the knife edge near the handle. The 7CR17 stainless-steel should hold an edge reasonably well. The blade gets 2 out of 5 points.I have not put this knife thorough its paces, but I am sure it will perform well for a knife this size. Realistically, it would take months of actual use to make a complete evaluation and a $15 knife is not worth that level of effort. It is a knife, with a stainless-steel blade, a nice handle and sheath. I see no reason it wouldn’t meet the challenges put to it. I plane to touch up the edge and put it into one of my packs. The Extremus gets 11 out of 15 points. Compared to the Morakniv Bushcraft it looks to be a serious bargain. Discounting the finish on the blade, it also compares well to the Craftline and Companion. It has a definite high-speed low drag look, especially while inside the sheath.

Impressive Budget Bushcraft
This knife is quite impressive for the price it's sturdy and relatively sharp. It comes ferro rod that's pretty good in size and thickness.

Can’t Beat it for the Price
I got mine 50% off for less than $10, for this price you can’t beat it. Came razor sharp (lost this after some light use) produced lots of sparks, comfortable handle. The handle are a little small for my hands but still comfortable.

Very good quality.
So sharp and reliable. Comfortable handle, pretty design. For regular campers and fishermen this knife for this price is perfect and in geometry (IMHO) beat a lot of famous Sweden models.

Great knife bad sheath
Great knife, problem with the sheath. I love this knife. Put it to use yesterday. Feels good, seems to hold edge, all seems good with the knife. The only drawback is the sheath comes off my belt almost everytime I sit down. I like the design of the sheath if it would stay on your belt. I use a Morakniv almost everyday and the sheath rarely comes off.

A beast of a knife for outdoorlife
The media could not be loaded. I put this knife too the test . I split wood with it. Cleaned fish with it carved a fuzz stick made a dowel out of hardwood with an it held up perfectly an was still razor sharp. Great knife for the money.
