These are aluminum and should last longer than my old ones. Very well made and look nice. After adjusting, they lock firmly. I didn't even look at the directions. Install can be completed with a 13mm 1/4" socket and a wobble attachment. I've seen some that cost 4x as much as these, not sure what they do that these can't. For the money, I'd recommend these all day long.

These are outstanding..so solid you’ll think you should be installing them on an army Tank. Great feel when latching, no clanking metal but super solid clasp and hold as if there was rubber between the metal components. What an outstanding product for the money. Coated so they are rust resistant. Hood is more stable than stock latches now. Easy to use, easy to install with a few challenges but not bad. If your grill removes easy, it will make installation of these a snap! Perfect functionality with excellent form…WHAT AN UPGRADE!!!

Much better than original latches. Very sturdy, adjustable, and look good. Installing was fairly easy. On the passenger side, getting the bottom nut off is a bit tricky, but is very doable. Small hands help, but if your like me and have larger hands you can still get it done. Would buy again, shipped fast. Good product!

Right out the gate I was impressed by the quality of the latches. They're constructed out of multiple pieces and require a little bit of disassembly to install. The parts are heavy, solid and fit perfectly on my 07 JKU. While you have the lower half apart to reach the hex head screw that runs through the body panel, I suggest a light coat of grease on the shaft that holds the arm to the lower assembly. I used a light coat of marine grade high heat grease to smooth out the rotation. The latches hold the hood down securely and were height adjustable to get the fit I wanted with minimal issue. I'm pleased to find that these have completely eliminated the hood flutter of the classic rubber arm hold downs. Be prepared to be at it for a few minutes, the bolt for the bottom half is hard to reach (this is not any fault of this product, just the way the Wrangler was designed) and even harder to get a wrench on it from inside. I 100% recommend these latches to anyone looking to upgrade from stock.

Good build quality. Took about 40 minutes to install (only because it was a tight fit to get to the bolt holding in the bottom piece of the driver side latch) on my 2007 Jeep JK 4door. They are a big aesthetic improvement over the factory latches and provide peace of mind that they won't fail at highway speeds.

Easy installation. Keeps the hood more stable than the original rubber latches, and looks sharp.

No more hood flap when driving in freeways. Well made and has a beefy look. Very happy with this purchase.

Awesome quality !! Very easy to install it only took me 10 minutes. In my case I took the grill of my jku Rubicon out to have a little more clearance to unscrew and tight the lower bracket , probably it wasn’t necessary, but it did helped me to get it installed much quicker. Also make sure to unscrew all the bolts and pour some loctite and then tight everything back just to make sure nothing is going to get loosened along the line . Great seller Thank you
