Lava Sand 40 lb, Red

Arrived as described and I had landscapers work it into the base soil on some new beds. Hopefully it will improve the drainage in the clay. Good quality, small grains.

Lava sand is great for improving the planting soil for plants. From Mender it is in bags that are easy to handle and makes the soil more beneficial to the plants. It helps hold in the moisture in the soil for the plants to access.

Man, what a ripoff. I waited for weeks to have a 40 lb bag of lava rock sent to me. There is NOTHING sand-like in this product that I was going to use for fern spore propagation. Bad description, bad product.

I just received my lava sand today. I’m pretty bummed that the granules are more rock size than sand as I could of gotten lava rock elsewhere for much cheaper. I planned on using it to make several homemade heat/cold pads, but not sure if it’ll be worth it. Otherwise the bag was sealed and packaged nicely. Received it in less than four days

This was titled "lava sand" but it is not sand at all. It is more like small pebbles. Not going to work for what I intended, which was heat packs. I will use it however on my flowerbed.

Yeah. I do not know the true 'affect' but the grass looks good so...

I use this in all my organic garden beds. Great product.
