Central Forge 4" Swivel Vise with Anvil

Everyone is searching for the replacement jaws and say they aren't available online. That is true, but there is an 888 number in the manual. If you call it, it rings to Harbor Freight, and they will tell you no parts are available to purchase, even though the manual states they are replaceable. You will either have to make your own, or do what the HF guy told me, and just buy another vise. This one is dirt cheap, so that's not so bad.

Vise is sturdy enough, but forged steel (replaceable) jaws can brake. Mine did and I am not faulting the vise for what I put it through, but getting the replacement part is a seemingly impossible task. Harbor freight advertising clearly shows that the vise has a renewable part (that if broken would render it unusable). However, they do not carry the part, so finding a solution to the problem is up to the purchaser. Customer support suggestions included searching the internet. So far no luck and many waisted hours. I think the recycle bin will be it's next home. Moral of this review is ......... be gentle with this vise because fixing it is a fruitless effort.

I bought this exact vise from Harbor Freight. This vise is absolute garbage. For $60, go to sears and buy a MUCH better vise for the same money. I was tightening down the barrel for an AR15 I was building. The jaw broke, down on the part where you turn the handle to tighten it down. I would not suggest this vise to anyone, I had the vise for 2 days. First time I used it, it breaks.
