This magnet is very strong! I was standing on a bridge, casting into the water below. As I was swinging the magnet rearward it became attached to a passing car and I was dragged 4 miles before the driver noticed. At no time did the magnet slide or appear to give way. Solid magnet! As soon as I get out of the hospital I will be back out there magnet fishing. Great product.

Finally took the time to try this. A friend suggested to fish a certain bridge, so I did. After throwing the magnet a couple times getting the "feel" of it and on the third return the magnet stopped solid in the cloudy water. I pulled the rope and felt the object dislodge from the sand and pulled up a mortar round!I'm hooked! You never know what you'll pull up. Great for beginners, must make a magnet launcher for longer casts!

Great magnet for someone just starting to magnet fish.

This is a nice little kit. I didn’t even think about needing gloves until I tried it the first time. I’ve already pulled out a grocery cart from the canal behind us with the grappling hook as well as a few bits and bobs with the magnet. All in all a pretty good time without much expense.

Before choosing this magnet fishing kit I was trying out the regular one-sided fishing magnets to then find that they were either not reeling in much or having the magnet snag under rocks or branches. I switched to double sided magnets (chose this one for the blue magnet and the black grappling hook). I found this double sided magnet easier to manage (compared to the one-sided magnet) and liked the fact that it flips when it hits an object on the surface. The amount of magnetic force is the right one for me and I like that it comes with a rope thimble to protect the rope from wearing down. Would purchase again.

Magnet lacking strength, rope wire is plastic coated smallest speaker wire, rope thimble does not come assembled. I estimate this is 150lbs each side and items come off easily. The locktite is not the trademark brind and is magnet company labeled. This is a good set for children but lacks strength for adult magnet fishing.

Good quality nothing to dislike it’s a lot of fun.

It allowed me to find my buddies benchmade knife o knocked in the lake. Saved me 250 bucks and let’s me get into magnet fishing.
